And you need THIS https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000080 ... mainSearch

with 4 connections to measure low resistance as an AC Impedance on cells. Doing what the PL8 does isnt accurate. I have one.
I did by one of those metres, but when it arrived from China it didn't work properly. Made no sense.[/quote]

Are you sure the meter was at fault? Or your understanding of ohms law and the meter configuration? Mine works great.

good question.

Wrong settings. Or test lead not connected correctly or wires unsoldered or something.

I put both the settings on automatic just to trying get a result.is there anything else I can put the settings to?

The test lead is definitely connected properly.

"Wires unsoldered" what do you mean by that?

If I set auto or autoV just by turning on, and read say a common 18650 cell, I get 4.17V and 13.77mOhm.

As long as all four contacts are across both ends of the cell.

If yours does not do that then you have set it to something other than standard settings. Or one of your 4 wires is unsoldered or broken, or the meter is faulty.
