Configuring an Invacare Aviva RX?

Postby Jay_x » 01 Jun 2023, 19:13

I will be getting an Aviva RX Storm chair from INvacare looks like. Center mount footplate, high speed motors (8 mph).

Is there anything I should request re: configuring the chair? LIke putting the seat forward or further back or whatever? I don't have the chair yet, its still in the ordering process.

Ask them to fit the seating as far back as possible. And then some. And fit R-Net! :D

I thought it was 7.5MPH.

What exactly is wrong with the LiNX controls?

Like all powerchairs they steer like hovercraft. You NEED oem level access to take charge. And its not possible. The only system that is current where we can easily do this is R-Net. The rest are all locked down and dumbed down.

Same reason I bought 3 complete top end 120A and CJSM control systems before this last option dissapears. As it inevitably will sooner or later.

At high risk of stressing out the american/canadians here, theres also the OttoBock rear drive chairs. Are they available in the US?
https://www.ottobock.com/en-gb/wheelcha ... juvo-b5-b6 They are here but I didnt see one so far. Not exactly common. But if thats what you want you can! They look OK.

All https://www.ottobock.com/en-gb/product/490E75~50_C

And that oddball joystick is really just an R-Net in disguise. They "branded" it with a new shape. So all normal R-Net parts fit. ike theCJSM2 and the 120A power modules, seating modules etc on eBay.

No, not in the US. They used to be available here, but not anymore. I never saw one. My guess is they sold very few of them.
