I am happy with NOT being able to screw things up! :)

Well if you want 4 decimal places, and averaging of data designed to make pretty graphs rather than accurate graphs then its all or nothing!

Probably easier/safer just to use a few of my presets and modify/adjust those to do whatever battery or cell you have.

Burgerman, sorry the first pack I plan on trying is a 3x7s with ncr18650pf cells.
I'll look onto the power supply, but for lead, my pc1220 will have to do for now.

Lithium ion cells?
OK.

For Lthium Ion, cells (phone, laptop, type chemistry with 4.2V charge).
SET CURRENT on charge and discharge to your prefered level. Usually 1/3rd to 1/2 pack capacity. All else inc cell count is automatic.

Thanks, it seams simpler that I had feared since you started mentioning it but happy to have support.

thats correct on the one i am using right now - same as this - there is no option there

its fine with me - dosnt bother me that its not there - just to point it out - since it shows on yours -

i am fine with leaving it alone - less tinkering the better

In series.
Higher volt / lower current is preferred.

My lithium ion 2S camera Z8 battery is being charged right now. It has a BMS in it. So is being charged without cell balancing. At 1A to 4.140v per cell, with fast terminaton. Or about 95% charged. I charge many things with the PL8... Got 2 more to do. If they were to be stored rather than used I would charge to 80%. Because then they will last 1000s of cycles rather than a few hundred.

Now its done! 95% as it will be used today and tomorrow.
