I would buy a module before sending it to be repaired...
...unless the repair is very cheap.

Is it a "Permobil CJSM2" or does anyone work?

Permobil dont have a CJSM2 they have a cheapened cut down version that sort of looks similar but has 2 less buttons, smaller darker screen thats harder to see outdoors and slightly different "permobil" firmware. It may well still be made by PG Drives for them under licence but it is different. Its called the PCJSM. They also fit normal CJSM2 on many chairs too.

Look here:

Permobil is the smaller one. Smaller screen less buttons etc. So if its CALLED a CJSM2 it doesent matter if its permobil or otherwise. It will be fine. Even the PCJSM will work on a normal r-net system. But is more awquard since buttons missing... And harder to see in daytime outdoors.

Permobil has removable cable $$$ and the R-NET CJSM normally doesent (well non of my 5 do?) so comes with the joystick. It is a few inches long.

Well, they tell me to talk to another department for a possible arrangement, I'll at least ask to see what they tell me. The ones in the ebay links don't look very good.

Elryko on this forum had maybe 10 to sell at one point about 2 years ago. He wanted 200 from memory. He was going to accept 150 from me. All brand new. PM him see if you get a reply.

He got more later on. There were hundreds floating about around at that time. All cheap. No idea where they were all coming from. I bought 3 from different sources. There were some on eBay 175. But there were also some for less like 125 from various places like tom that cloned my BM2 chairs.

Just keep your ear to the ground as they do periodically appear! When they do, grab a couple quick.
