Cheap new R-net Joysticks

Postby Burgerman » 18 Oct 2024, 20:18

A PM prompted me to post this.

As you likely know I bought myself a set of R-Net systems. THREE COMPLETE SYSTEMS about 2 or 3 years ago.

And I did this because as of today the 120A R-net power module, CJSM2 joystick, and the ISM6-L seating and lighting module is currently the best system on the market and is all you need for a full rehab powerchair with every seating goody, and lights possible. And because all the alternative systems are fully locked down and therefore hard to get parts for, and not programmable and so basically useless if you care about having a chair that steers properly!

So I bought 3 complete systems. The WHOLE LOT was around 1000 uk pounts. Or 1200 dollars. Or 1/3rd of that per complete chair for brand new or unused parts.

Today I added to that a CJSM1 joystick. Why? Because joysticks wear out first! And because I "FISH" on eBay. When theres a bargain its usually gone and invisible 5 mins later. So I just bought a NEW UNUSED colour joystick, for £100. Actually less (80) as I made an offer...
But heres another one for £80 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156465844360
If you just want a spare as a backup heres a basic one for 50 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296742691209 all just plug and play.

These things keep appearing on eBay, buy them while you can.

It can go and join this lot! On my shelf. This all totals 1100 uk pounds now...

I have
3 CJSM2
3 120A power modules
3 ISM6-L 6 channel Seating/lighting modules.
3 multi connector blocks
+
1 attendant joystick
1 CJSM1 joystick
1 LED joystick
1 huge box of cables, battery loom cables, bus cables in many lengths.
1 OEM programmer

And a few other bits. Its all plug and play. And matches the 3 R-Net chairs I already have. So I could convert any other branded chair to R-net for practically free. (approx) £300 or less per complete chair. Or convert any older system to r-net.
You can only do this CHEAPLY if you buy over time and spend a lotof time fishing eBay and strike when the iron is hot! But if you do... Then its cheap to do. I do not ever want to be relying on anyone else as inevitably other people are useless.
