I'm tested Solo controlled mobility scooter 36V battery. It's works. But still output only max 24V to motor. Same as using a 24 volt battery. I remember seeing in the manual the 36 volts mentioned as well as the maximum motor voltage setting. Temporarily tried a 36V 30A Chinese ebike controller with no electric brake or reversing. I would like the original driver to work.

Need Industrial Software for a Solo controller to change motor max voltage settings? Maybe also raise the current limit with a few amps if possible. Where I get? Cables are not a problem.

The programming software helped. Original motor output 22Vdc maximum voltage changed to 36Vdc. The former gps measured at 12km/h turned into a speed of 20km/h. Speed measured on a ride with a load of 36V 70Ah lead-acid battery and a 100kg man. And the engine doesn't even overheat. Towards the end of the week, 4.10/3.50-5 tires will be replaced with larger electric wheelchair tires. They have the same 20mm shaft.

When the maximum voltage of the motors was increased, the low battery indicator light also seemed to rise for the battery. It seemed that with the 30-40Vdc setting of the motor, the low battery indicator flashes at approx. 35Vdc battery voltage.

Quick Question

If I'm making a lead from a USB serial adaptor to a "ATX" 4 pin Molex plug can I just connect pins 3 & 4 on the Molex plug to the Tx & RX of the USB lead, or do I still need to bridge pins 3 & 4 and add a diode to control the flow.

Also do I need to set a baud rate and flow control anywhere ?

There is no need to play with any settings...the cable should just work.

Connecting RX and TX from the Molex to the USB TTL Serial Adapter will work and you will not need the diode or resistor.

Ok. I have the program now. But I also have a problem. The program always show "COMMS INACTIVE". However. The program sends requests to the controller and the controller does answer. But there seems to be a timeout error on the port.
Therefore my question: Do I have to use Win7 for this program? I thought I saw the standard Win10 backround in one of the screenshots here.

What lead / cable are you using for programming?

Some of the larger amperage S-Drives have been reported as problematic.

I.E. The S Drive TX signal is not pulling low enough....The “Low” signal on these S-Drives must be pulled down around 1.3 volts.
