The diode is probably not required , it was simply an addition by me as a "safety" feature , so this diode is most likely not needed.

Woody, you better give me that diode anyway Newark has flat rate shipping and I minus will get that while I'm at it. Danny

Any old diode will work, and any old low drop type is even better?

I used a 1N5711 SMALL SIGNAL SCHOTTKY DIODE ... because I had some...

Say these 99p delivered. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1N4148-Signa ... Sw4-td9obH

But a schottky high frequency small signal type diode would be better still. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1N5711-Small ... SwT6ld9odF
1.69 delivered...

I changed the circuit of the adapter to fit the newVSI remote. I have two WC with different remote, and it is more convenient to have a universal adapter.
ADAPT-V2.png

1. For the DA50-A41 remote, you need to open J1 and short J2.
2. For the newVSI remote, you need to open J2 and short J1.

J1 can be replaced with a diode D1. But I can't check now whether the diode will affect the work with the DA50-A41 remote (that WC remained in the country).
Woody's resistors can be used too. But if the R1 is different from mine, the R10 may need to be adjusted.

And as I already say: ATTENTION: do everything at your own peril and risk!

How did it go?

I started gathering parts for the Anubis801 version but if the 7Gluk one works just as well I think the 7Gluk is easier to build.

Hello!
i got a Mercury M36 mobility scooter that no longer works. I found that the controller is defective and I bought one from ebay which unfortunately comes from diffrent model of scooter and it needs to be reprogrammed.
I would like to try to save the settings from the faulty controller (if is possible) and load them in the good one.
I just need wizard5 and some advice .
Thanks!!!

I have tried to connect the damaged controller to my computer with no success.
I can only connect the good one, but i have no idea how to do the right settings. The scooter is shaking at low speed, especially on reverse direction. Can you help me to find the right settings for Mercury M36, please?

It could be the motor load compensation setting.

Load Compensation Value: Load Compensation (mOhm)

If Load Compensation is set too high, the chair
- Drives very rough
- Is hard to steer or control, vibrates or surges

Try taking the existing number lower and use small increments .... reduce by 5 mOhm each time ...test and repeat if needed.

IF IT GETS WORSE, STOP AND REVERT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SETTING.

After several attempts to find the correct load compensation value I decided to tried to fix the faulty controller. After several measurements I finally found a tantalum capacitor in short circuit. after replacing the capacitor I was able to read the original settings and load them in the good controller.Like you said the load compensation was to higt 140 and the original settings is 30. Thank you for your support!

You can probably tweak ( increase ) that 30 setting a little.

The diode is not required ,I simply added one as a "safety" feature.

Connections to the Molex will be just GND ( pin 1 ) and the multifunction pin (pin 4 ) NO 24V +

Hello, I am new to the site and therefore sorry for my English (thanks to google translate !).

I bought an invacare comet (Dymamic Rhino 2 120A controller) whose control card just broke.
Since the repairman asked me 1500 euros for this elctronic Board :cussing , I decided to re-wire the Rhino2 controller without the invacare card.
I managed to rewire for the scooter to start and move but I would like to try to rewire everything and I would have to access the complete programming of the Rhino DS120A controller. For me, it is out of the question that I buy 600 euros a programmer that will not allow to access all the parameters.

Do you have a solution from the dynamic Wizard software?
I have read a good part of the forum topics, where we are talking about a special version of the PC Wizard 5 software.

Merci d'avance.

Before I build the adapter, does anyone know if the Wizard software will read/write to the Invacare MK6? I see it on the list in the "about" window, but didn't find any posts where anyone actually mentioned using it.

Thanks!

Hello,
I have a little trouble understanding the connection between the computer's USB and the XLR (or 4-pin molex) connector on the controllers.

Do we connect the serial USB adapter directly to the controller (rhino2), or do we need an intermediate adapter (gluk's assembly)?

Thanks
