Yes.

But did you consider adding an anderson connector so that you can take advantage of a faster charge, or top up during the day?

I use GEL / AGM batteries.
The batteries are 30 ah.
9 amps is almost the maximum...

True. However you still gain a little by charging with no long thin loom and no high impedance xlr connection. So more properly charged battery in shorter time even at the same amps.

Now I just bought a (second) ZXD2400.
I will have 2 ZXD2400 and a good investment for the future.
My plans are to embrace lithium in the future, but I don't have a budget right now.
I advance little by little.

Thanks.

P.S. In the forum I learn many useful things.

Not sure what I am more excited about the charger or the pl8 balance connectors. Great news Shirley!

The usb connector for the pc...yes. But I only have one pl8 balance cable and I hate to chop it up without a spare. Maybe that will be my weekend project. So far I only charge lead and a couple Life cells in parallel.

I've been pondering getting one of these for an unrelated project, but I think I read somewhere, possibly this thread, that on 115Vac input the ZXD2400 has like half the output. Is it a straight half power reduction, so it limits the output to 1.5kW? or does it also limit the current?

For example, if I set it to 30V, would it support a 50Amp draw (1.5kW), or does it limit the current to 25Amps, so at 30V it'd only put out 750W?

Thanks!

It cuts the amp by half , whereas the voltage range is not affected.

Was thinking about this 120V US power issue.
In many 120v homes there is 230v available. jJust not utilised in the usual outlets.
If not then a 3kw one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323217298419 may help.

There are very, very few houses left in the U.S. that are without 230 at the entry panel even if there are no 230V outlets installed. The U.S uses a 3-wire balanced distribution model where there's 230 between two of the wires and 115 from either of these to the third. The two 115V pairs are out of phase with each other. In general, one tries to distribute outlets and appliances so that half the drain is on one 115V pair and the other half on the other pair. The closer to that balance the less 60Hz noise you have in the building. The 230V pair may be used by itself for heavy-drain items such as a clothes dryer or electric range/oven. Here in Italy we use 230V 50Hz two-wire and the radiated 50Hz noise can be noticeable - for example you may feel a tinging sensation near an electric blanket.

In the UK we have large sub stations that supply small areas like a town rather than a transformer up a pole per house. Or a few houses. The large sub station provide power underground (no poles unless you live on a farm) and are 3 phase and a neutral/centre tap which is grounded at the sub station and your home. So any single phase has 240V 50hz live, at low impedance and so almost no voltage drop under load (dure to a transformer as big a a house somewhere) in respect to neutral. And so in a home we have Earth (grounded) and Neutral (centretap theoretically at neutral) And single phase at 240V AC to supply anything at up to usually 200A per house. Remember that you only need half the amps at double the US voltage. There is 3 phase in the street. A house gets single a phase. Unless a special request for 3 phase is made.

If you want more power then you can have 3 phase power in say a small medium industrial application. or at home if requested. So then 4 wires plus ground/earth. Then you can use any single phase for low power 240V stuff, or use 2 phases. Or normally all 3 phases are used as delta or star depending on appliance. 3 phase is @ 380V between each phases (approx 440v peak), or as star as 3 lots of single phase 240V.

As in many other countries in Spain 230 volts reach homes.
In places with higher needs, three-phase current arrives.
