Can I replace motors?

Hi, hoping someone can advice me!
I have bought a used (2018) Pride Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 4mph powerchair with i-Level, for my son.
Can I have 6mph motors fitted for him? everything else is good.. It has the Q Logic 3 hand controller and rise and tilt and i-Level (I understand it will not go above 4mph with this function operating) It has new batteries.
You can buy this model new with an option to have 4 or 6mph so I'm hopefull I can have this done. The chair is being sent by courier so I dont have it yet!

Yes you can change the motors, if you have it or where to buy it. Its not hard to change the motors if you have it.

You can
It will require reprogramming, I think. The motors may be lower impedance, and the ilevel thing will need to be set differently as it will likely go 6mph while raised...

Prides controller is really a part made by curtis instrements, but it has software that is pride specific. So only pride has access to the OEM level tool required. So expect to be told it will cost $$$$.

Thanks elryko1992 and Burgerman for that info, its reassuring to know something can be done. I'm hoping to find someone here in the North of Scotland who can do it!
I'm expecting it to be quite expensive

q logic 3 is done via cloud programming. an end user has zero chance of doing anything useful as you cant get a cloud login without being a quantum account holder.

Even with a dealer account. You can only download ready to go (oem) presets to suit a specific chair. But only have DEALER level access to change any settings. So it wont ever steer properly now, or after fitting 6mph motors.

If it were me, I would cancel it and find something with 6 mph, 4 pole motors, and with a dynamic or PG controller that we can get access to OEM programming so as to make it usable. Be careful what you buy. Preferably ask here first!

Avoid anything pride or without Older dynamic controller and preferably with R-Net.

the only sensible option now is rnet.
