My OEM software\dongle does not see the servo when reading from the chair.

Great info. Thank you

You need the Meyra OEM version of the software to create the proper setup of your chair, as I assume you have the Generic PGDT one which lacks many programming parameters. Even if you create a chair setup from scratch with the Sunrise version, those Servo settings will not show up.

Steve

I use the latest software from BM 6.4.0

Looks like only 1 person on here has the meyra software.
Hoping they will share it.

Thank you very much.

As Steve says there's a Meyra version of the software but having changed the file as Łukasz did I now get the servo section - just with a minimal set of options.
Not sure I understand why except Łukasz probably had the dealer data file from the beginning where we don't.
I'm not sure where a Meyra dealer profile could come from but I'll start asking around.
Łukasz sent me his profile but it still only opens as mine does even though as BM pointed out he is also using a sunrise program

Well thank you Łukasz for the file - I now get a servo section but only in a limited format.
On starting R-net I get the following warning - BM is there a way of updating data files from the version I already have?

Ricky, would you mind sharing that file please as I want to experiment with it.

Use the myra DEALER version to grab the file from the chair as it reads all the MYRA only stuff programmed into that oddball controller with their firmware that understands how this non tank steer scooter and steering works. You still wont see all the technical stuff yet.

Then open with SUNRISE OEM or GENERIC OEM and save an unchanged version to the desktop so as to make it an OEM level file.
Now RE-OPEN it with the OEM software and you should see all the new stuff and be able to edit it.

If not make sure it has the myra 'personality" thing set at the top. Not sure how that works.

Well as usual I failed.
I loaded the file he sent me and it showed it with the few servo settings so I saved that to the desktop and then reloaded it and wrote it to the chair.
Reading from the chair the servo settings have gone again.
Not winning with this one - don't seem to win with any R-net stuff sadly - still the chair goes and steers reasonably well but I know it could be better if the servo was working a bit quicker etc

Same here.

He must have the Meyra software version to see all the options.
I've never found the meyra version anywhere :(

Of course! And thats exactly what you would expect. The ONLY way to get those extra settings that exist in the oddball myra non tank steer controller that is running a special MYRA firmware is to use the Myra DEALER or Myra OEM software.

When you wrote that file to the chair any settings you changed (or were different) were written to the chair. But you cannot read them back out with generic or sunrise software as it does not know they exist.

You MUST start off with the settings file from a Myra DEALER or OEM software version. And keep that file on your desktop. Work from that only. This is the exact same problem we have with permobil. Only they are even worse as they use their own joysticks, seating controllers, gyro and stability modules and own switch boxes too.

Most manufacturers do not hide the DEALER versions.
For e.g. here are the dealer programmers from permobil https://www.permobil.com/us/support/dri ... d-software\

To program a permobil you grab the settings file with these.
Then edit it with your OEM non permobil software. Then write it back to the chair with the dealer software.

Myra is no different. You need the myra DEALER software to get the correct settings file FIRST! Making permobil a pain in the backside as they also have their own parts... Non R-Net that cannot bo programmed.

Most companies do not have weird parts, or home made custom firmware etc. So the generic programmer works just fine! Dietz is an example. And they even offer the OEM version to download. Because they use all R-Net generic simple plug and play parts. https://dietz-power.com/downloads-dealer-login/

We do listen - we don't always understand.
When I got the RND file I was told that was all that he had to change to make the settings appear and work- I did the file swap as instructed and got the servo to show but not as if it was from a Meyra setup even his settings file didn't open in the same way.
So I thought that changing the RND file might give the Meyra settings but it didn't
We don't always understand the differences because we don't have your experience - but we learn eventually

I see. But I did try to explain...
You MUST have a myra/permobil/sunrise programmer if these companies do any non generic stuff and so use modded firmwares on anything to grab the settings that the generic or other branded (sunrise) programmers dont know about.

Then you can keep that file on your computer. So you can use any OEM programmer to change those settings in the future. Its all designed to stop us getting control. You just need to know how it works. Yes faster responding servos will give the chair a better chance of trying to stop physics making it go out of control as you speed up or turn. It allows the gyro to respond to tiny changes in direction before it goes totally out of shape. That happens fast and the amount rises exponentially as it does. So sooner or later physics wins. Its like compound interest on credit cards!

See the post above that I was typing as you posted!

Heres a clear example using PERMOBIL.

They have their own ICS seating nonsense. Its bulky and complex and causes all sorts of problems they dont seem able to fix...

But if you want to modify a permobil you wont find any of those settings on a generic R-Net programmer. Its all their own stuff. Same with their own gyros and some joysticks etc.

If you grab the file with the PERMOBIL DEALER version, it has an ICS section. With lots of setting you will not otherwise see.
If you save this as an OEM file with say the generic or the sunrise OEM programmer and reopen it then they will all be seen in the non permobil software and you can edit even the OEM settings. Take a look.

This is their ICS thing. It connects to a box of snakes at the rear that has nothing to do with r-net. And just one reason I wouldnt ever want a permobil. https://www.permobil.com/us/wp-content/ ... _v8_us.pdf

Settings not in generic r-net.

Thanks BM
I emailed Meyra and of course they only supply their OEM software to specialist dealers however they are going to send me the data files for my chair, I'm hoping that will open in either the sunrise or the modified to Meyra program and give us a starting point.
I think that is what you are suggesting - open it when I get it and save it with a new name using the OEM program we have and then open it again make adjustments and then load it to the chair?
I'm hoping this might work and of course I will happily share the file and results if it does

OK I got the file from Meyra and opened it with the sunrise version - it didn't show the different settings either but when I changed the RND file as per earlier post it does indeed now show all the Meyra settings and I can save and open the file again with all the settings showing.
I need to try it on the chair but I think it should be fine.
So Ill attach the OEM settings file and the zipped RND file and perhaps folks can access them here or maybe BM you could add them to your Programming files so that they are there for folk in the future.
Remember you need to go into C:\Program Files (x86)\PG Drives Technology\R-net Programmer OEM Sunrise EU
and remove file Sunrise EU_V33_1_1296.rnd and replace it with the rnd file after unzipping it before opening the R-net file
Hope this helps

So once the file has been written to the chair you can't read it off the chair with all the settings available but once you have the original file saved czy you can make the changes in that and then write them to the chair.

Hi everyone.
First of all, sorry for my English, please correct me if I write incomprehensible.
When i installed Setup_OEM_Sunrise_EU_6_3_0 there was no "servo" in the left settings menu. From a friend from meyra, I got a compressed folder of the installed program R-net Programmer OEM Meyra.
Image

I will compare the contents with mine "OEM_Sunrise_EU" and replace the files with the .rnd extension, in the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\PG Drives Technology" ("Sunrise EU_V33_1_1242.rnd" with "Meyra_V32_1_898.rnd"). Then the menu on the left has changed. The "servo" submenu has appeared, but only after connecting the dongle you will see the full content of the servo menu. I think this ".rnd" file is some kind of branding or customization.

You should be able to read it with the MYRA DEALER version. And save it wth any oem version to the desktop. Then RE-OPEN it with the OEM and see all settings.

I think everyone can set optimus2 to their preference.
You need to set the "servo" to get good steering control, but there are two other important settings: "Tremor Damping" in "SPEEDS" menu and "Joystick Deadband" in "JOYSTICK>CONTROL"

Tremor Damping:
This parameter can be used to reduce the effects of a user’s hand tremor. The programmable range is 0% to 100%. The higher the value, the greater the damping that is applied. If using high values of Tremor Damping, pay particular attention to the stopping distance of the wheelchair, as it will be increased.

Deadband:
This sets the size of the joystick’s neutral area. In other words, how far the joystick has to be deflected before the brakes are released and drive commences. The programmable range is 10% to 50% in steps of 1%. A normal setting is 10%.

Part of my problem I think is only having a dealer dongle - Still looking for an OEM but until now I could write everything to the chair using the dealer dongle after changing it. On the Meyra stuff it tells me it is only writing the dealer values which it hasn't done before.
I'll return to the sunrise installation and try downloading to the chair again - it used to tell me that the program was at a higher level than the dongle but I can write it to the chair.

If you copy the Meyra.rnd file into the same place as the Sunrise one, you should be able to select which data set to use on startup, like this...
