Note that the one steve has is a slimmer version. I dont know why. But it has a smaller battery space. Smaller Ah. And thinner wheel rims by the look of it. All to keep wheel track width to a lower level.

The non slim one has grp24 batts.

So at least 260 x 171 x around 220 or more tall. per battery. So 260W x 346L x 220H. How to access no idea!

steve does not have the slim line version, he has the advanced which is grp24

the slimline version is still available with 14" drive wheels and is the most common size fitted. can be fitted with 12" to get it to 51cm width and a lower seat height if required.

Ah. So the one in the pic above is the one shirley is interested in? And that has a smaller batt area.

Did some modifications to my Dietz chair today, removed the Omni setup completely and fitted the LED JSM. I can operate all the functions with my feet and find much easier to use. Just find the Omni setup too complicated and slow to access the tilt/recline/lift and lights. Now I can turn on lights/indicators with a push of a button.

Even Melissa and my family was surprised at how fast I could operate the joystick functions. Sometimes the basic set up is the best. I also only need one profile now since the JSM has speed buttons. So I'm happier with the chair now and have better control of it.

I agree BM, although Rover did try his best to replicate my Pilot+ setup. It was just too cumbersome for me to keep having to move the Omni screen for transfers and stuff. Not to mention I can't hold my head still enough to navigate through the menus. I much prefer to have push buttons as I find them easier to use and much quicker.

I'm looking for £800 ONO since it's still virtually brand new and still has the screen protector on it. It's a Mo-Vis setup with their compact joystick if that would be any use to you BM.

I have a set of each here. Motors (AMT germany) are identical as far as I can determine. And both are 45mOhm impedance inc cables etc.

Also it may surprise you to know that motor power as in torque etc has nothing to do with the watts rating. They all far exceed that by 3 or 4 times. Limited only by controller max amps. Its entirely possible for a lower watt motor to have exactly the same max torque as a higher rated one. That is just a measure of its continuous rating where it wont cook anything, and it also usually coincides with its most efficient power range.

The US isnt a free market. All sorts of complications.

Are you talking about your over regulated restrictive complicated mystery insurance system? Or free market capitalist buying?
Living in a smaller country its pretty common for myself and others to buy stuff from all over the planet. In the US you seem very reluctant to do this. Even most US websites are US only, when you try to buy. No US postcode and no way to order!

My home and driveway are full of stuff bought overseas.

Did you ask for a list of distributors? Or dealers? For e.g. Rover on here may ship you one.

Yea I was talking about the crazy insurance. Very true about ordering over seas. But it something I will be definitely considering a option when I'm due for a new chair even if I pay out of pocket it would be worth it to get what I want. As far as maintenance I would be more than happy not to deal with a d.m.e I have couple mechanics that help .me work on my chairs. I've been saving up

Any details?

Original poster wants to swap motors, keep old gearboxes to increase speed I think. Is that possible. It isnt on my amt motors. But they are different to the ones used on the dietz chairs. I think it is possible on some of the Linix motors, same gearboxes with different motor winding.

i will check the ratings, i have both 8mph and 6mph. they have different motor comp set from factory though so there is a difference somewhere, approx 35mohm for 8moh and 55mohm for 6mph.

The Motor Comp is set to 50mOhms on my Sango Advanced RWD chair and it doesn't feel jumpy, but these are 6MPH motors.

In order to make a motor spin faster they use slightly less turns, and slightly thicker wire. Which makes the motor draw more current at x rpm. And so it has lower impedance.
