Following recent posts, the plot thickens. It appears the overheating of the fuel heater housing and subsequent cracking, causing the engine to cut out, is a fairly common problem.
There's a guy I'm in touch with who's sister has had horrendous problems with engine cutting out; kids in the back, outside lane and eng cut out. He’s so incensed he’s on about a class action against Chrysler.
So if you hear of anyone or have suffered yourself email,
andrew.nicholls@gmail.com
He’s got contacts within the Beeb, and he’s not letting it rest.
i must admit i fully support him. if Chrysler were up front from the start, if they'd have said ah yes, look at the fuel filter heater, (which would have save countless heart stopping moments trying to cross junctions or pulling out) i may have been a little more amiable, but their, '... this is the first instance we know of...' has annoyed me somewhat.
be well all.
