Greetings peeps
I am helping someone who lives overseas think about driving from their wheelchair. I have suggested the kia sedona or vw caravelle as both these dealerships are present in their own country. Ford is also available but the suspension for a wc user driver was pretty basic the last time I travelled in one.
It gets v hot and the terrain is sandy/ rocky so I am worried about the tail lift, particularly on the vw as an under floor ramp [on a voyager] has let me down half way up a mountain in the Alps!
I note that you have converted a LHD Burgerman so Id really love to find out where and how you did this - especially as you said that you managed to achieve this for a fraction of the cost I see bandied about.
I will need to help them get the vehicle which will need to be a LHD and convert it in the UK as options for conversion in their own country are non- existent. [hence my involvement]
Any suggestions and comments would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
A
