Someone else driving?

Any commercial van, with a ricon lift in the side door, and some carpets. I think tow vehicle weight is more important than a specific bhp figure. Take a look at the max tow weight of any van or mpv you look at.

Then any van capable of towing the trailer weight, that is tall enough for you plus chair. There are lots of them. Then add a side door lift.

Hmmm.... The US Mopar minivans in stock trim are not rated with that high of a towing capacity, and I know that Braun (at least) specifically says you aren't supposed to tow at all with their conversions (and the stock hitches won't fit as the stuff that got moved as part of the conversion (like the gas tank) is in the way)...

In addition, the trannies in them are supposedly a bit on the marginal side for at least some years - at least that is what the transmission place that replaced the one in Mary-Anne's Y2K Grand Caravan told her at the time. Said they did a lot of Mopar trannies, and that it was very common for them to tear up the case - enough so that it was difficult to come by used replacements...

Looks like a nice van otherwise....

Since you're not doing the driving, have you considered the Sprinter or the Transit?

We have Sprinters in the US and they seem big enough to tow a trailer and are large enough not to need to be cut up to make them accessible.

The only Transits I've seen are the really tiny ones so I can't actually speak for them. We're supposed to get full size Transits here next year from what I've read.

Transits all used to be "big", since the 70s. Then recently they made a small van, and just called it a transit...

All marketing. The big real transits actually come in a multitude of sizes and configurations. From box vans, with sliding tailgate, and high top panel vans with extra length down to pretty small vans.

They are mostly used for minibuses though rather than personal transport in the disabled market. A small rear drive minibus like here: http://www.ford.co.uk/Commercialvehicles/TransitMinibus

Check out the different options, sizes, chassis cabs, Front, rear, or 2 or 4 wheel drive, etc. Bit big for private use.
