Postby Raz M3 » 09 May 2013, 19:04

Hello, Im having problems. :(
When i open my door it opens and ramp opens. When i close it the ramp closes but the door stays open. I took it to the dealer and they said it needs a a new Controller module (The Brains). Part # 35-4085-0
i also heard it could be somthing else
I have a 2002 town and country ims bruan conversion.

Found this but dont know where to look to fix the problem.

Finally got my car back on the road! After buying a new 'Smart Box' (the bit that controls the door, kneel and ramp) from my dealer in America and getting it shipped over here, only to find they'd shipped me the wrong one and costing $800, I find it wasn't the 'Smart Box' at all. My third auto electrican found that the spindal on the ramp wasn't connecting with the switch to tell the door to close and open. Somehow it had worked its way loose and as a result couldn't hit the door switch so the door didn't know the ramp was up. It took the guy 50 minutes to strip the ramp motor and re-build, fixing everything and charge me £20 for his time. I'm so happy, I've got my indendance back! :D"

Its HIGHLY unlikely to be the "brain" since its a computer. They either work or they crash and not work at all.

But that's an expensive bit and so they will want to swap it first!

Its either cables, sensors, micro-switches, (in a box with a motor and a cam by the door) or similar. It just needs someone with a logical brain and a little effort to find/fix.
