I have informed the manufacturer of our findings and I am yet to recieve a reply.

The Q-lock is one that I am not familiar with but a close inspection should reveal whether the jaws are at an angle or not. The finish ISO and crash testing of the Q-lock and the anecdotal evidence from Goose would seem to indicate that it is safe with a similar design to an EZ-lock.

Have a look at these. I think they are better, they lock to a U bolt in 2 places. No need for a front bracket to conterol sideways movement. I like mine.
