Ricon 6 Way Power Seatbase

Postby rustyjames » 04 Jul 2014, 18:47

Would anyone happen to have a part number for the GM motor that is used to make the seat swivel? I'm pretty sure it's the same as an early GM power window motor. Of course, if I go through Ricon, they'll refer me to one of their dealer's because I'm disabled and have lots of extra money to spend, as well as being stupid

As I suspected, it turns out to be a common GM power window motor used on vehicles manufactured from 87-2002. I found a new OEM one on ebay for $27.00 shipping included  The same motor is used for the horizontal movement on some model seat bases.

I have a Ford 150 with a Rivel base. The swivel motor went out on my seat also. The dealers told me it would cost $2000 and wouldn't be able to be returned unless they put it in. I have the upper body to transfer without the seat swivel but it is great to know the part I need and how affordable it can be. Thank you for your post.

Is your base a Ricon or Rivel? I never heard of Rivel.
