Nostalgia?

Did any of you own one of these? I got a free used one late 1960's and taught myself to drive using it. I remember the evening I finally got a new battery in it and got it to start, drove it to the nearest petrol station which still supplied petroil (a mixture of petrol and oil), they put air in the tires and instead of driving back home I took a spin out in the country for several miles and made it back home a couple of hours later to my very terrified mother! The first time I had ever driven a car of any kind, never did get around to taking driving lessons. You could hear the engine about a mile away and could always tell where the car was from the continuous smoke signal, but great fun to drive around the roads of Co. Cork in. A one-seater but you could lower a narrow seat for a passenger, we put a lot miles on it and lot of pints were downed in a lot of pubs!

Never got close to one. Looks like a hateful thing to do to the disabled!

Not great, but anything that gives mobility... Still, I like my van better...

I can NOT view one of these without thinking of "Mr Bean's" hated enemy, which evidently is any form of the "Reliant Robin."

Seems to me that a "tadpole" (two wheels in front) could be made someWHAT stable, but I don't see a hope in hell for the "delta" layout of these things.

I've even managed to get BOTH my trikes up on two wheels during "unexpected" maneuvers. EITHER of these trikes requires considerable care in riding. The new one, with it's cambered rear wheels, is somewhat more stable, but not much.

My old one, with home built hand cranks, and part of a Chineseo scooter hanging off the rear:

A representation of my new one. I bought it to build "row" mechanics with the steering, but still have not. I added electric drive, and my legs are now so bad that I use the electric drive much more than I do my legs:
