Air suspension problem

Postby trebor1943 » 29 Aug 2012, 12:02

I have a VW Caravelle wheelchair accessible vehicle with hand controls and a ramp at the rear, it has air suspension which will not work correctly unless parked on a completly flat surface, sometimes when the ramp is lowered the position of the rear of the ramp is 2" to 3" proud of the floor, it is not always possible to find a flat surface.
I have been experencing difficulties with it from new and wondered if anyone else has the same problems, it is 18 months old and during that time other faults have ocured, the drivers window will sometimes open and close without any warning, pressing the window control does not overcome the problem, sometimes the window will not operate and at the same time the indicators do not work, sometime after locking the vehicle, when I return the driver and passenger door windows will be open, the windscreen and rear screen wipers would come on even when not switched on and would not stop until the ignition switch was switched off.

Any suggestions

A medium?

Seriously its impossible to diagnose that over the internet. Take it to an autoelectrician, or back to the conversion company. I dont think the window and ramp/air suspension issues are related though. But they could be!
