2001 Chrysler IMS Conversion

Postby Rye » 02 Jan 2019, 22:30

Went to the feed store today and the young woman loading my feed into the back of my van dropped the sack on the power module, knocked it off and ripped wires out of their connectors! All the wires are labeled with a letter/number and I have a wiring diagram, but there is nothing on the board indicating which pin on the PM is which number. I have wire labels and the corresponding pins, but no idea which pin is which number. Is there a standard way to count pins?

Is this a power module for the van, door, ramp like the one in mine or the one on a chair? I its a chair one who is the manufacturer? (of the power module, not the chairs metalwork) and do you have a pic of the connectors?

It's for my van. It's an IMS PowerMotion Module. The wires were actually pulled out of the connectors and the plastic connectors stayed connected to the board. I tried to connect them using the same pattern as another multiwire connector, but nothing happened. I did however, finally get the emergency ramp lift (lift when removed from park) to operate.

God knows. And there isn't one.

Best get a drawing emailed from them.

Have you got US Patent numbers for it? Often there are drawings and detailed diagrams to go with the application you can look up.

Failing that IMS seems to have been eaten by BraunAbility so you could try asking them.

If all else fails, you could buy a computer for another manufacturer complete with instructions and wiring detail, and fit it. But a royal pain to do.
