Not a newbie but been away a while

Postby Mechniki » 06 Jun 2020, 21:14

Not much of a story to be had here. In October 4th 2019 my PC went blue screen STOP: 0X000000F4
Hard drive crash windows 7, wouldn't restart. I Re built using windows 7, waiting for hard copy of Windows 10, new dvd rw, new bd rw plus new 1TB HDD
Eventually it all came togther, I tried to install windows 10, a genuine copy Microsoft refused the COA. So had to wind it back to windows 8.1. Within a week I was
so annoyed of having to put my outlook password in just to start up, I bought another copy of windows 10. Luckily it worked. Realising the only way to get round the password or PIN was to set up an administrative guest account. Though I have gotten used to the pin.

Next was re-installing programs, games etc then internet and bookmarks. Unfortunetly I hadn't saved all the passwords for every site. Or so I thought until this evening, when I decided to set up my Latitude in my bedroom. Passwords for everthing was stored on the thumb drive for it. So now I am here. Worse for wear, having just had shingles, throat infection and sepsis. Sepsis has cleared along with the shingles, leaving the laryngitis with sore throat. I am sure there are worse things than having a pressure sore on your ass that turn septic but was quite unpleasant.

Hope everyone is doing good

You can get a free Digital HWID activation for free if you use Win10 Home or Pro. :ugeek: LTSC 2019 is the way to go if you don't want OS upgrades every year, which can also be activated for free if you know where to look. ;) :shh:

Glad to see you back posting again.

Sorry you had such computer issues. Many here can relate (I sure can).
