Hi my name is Terry and I am 39 years old. I have only been using a wheelchair for about a year and only use it when I have to go further than my garden. I have MS and my walking and vision are what have been affected. I worked in a deep drainage gang before I had to stop working so was used to being outside all day every day and using a chair has meant I can still get out plenty in he fresh air. I have just got a B400 which I thought was a decent chair but after finding this site I realised I made a booby and have bought another average chair. Finding this site is very eye opening and I will defo be reading up and asking people who know before buying my next chair. I have been like a sponge since finding it, it's like an bible for wheelies!

It is. But most stock chairs are average. For eg they are all programmed to be almost un-drivable.

I am thinking about buying a cable from Woody and seeing how much better I can get the control of my B400. It's a 7.2km/h chair and am wondering if the changes I will be able to make to it will be worth the 50 quid it will cost to reprogramme it What do you think even at an educated guess. I have pretty good control now but wonder if I could have better.

Thank you for the welcome, I have RRMS. I've been Dx just over a year and have walking and balance problems so use a chair when walking any further than the house. This site is awesome and I look forward to getting to know more members. The help that is available chair wise is something else eh?
