Newbee introduction

Postby ajbristol » 11 Oct 2016, 10:58

Hi all, having been searching for a few hours doing some research into what modifications I could do to my mobility equipment (scooter), I have a Pride Colt 9 (4mph) ideally I should have bought an 8mph model and was looking for options as to how I could best achieve my goal... 8mph or more. Does anyone know if I can simply tweak the maximum forward speed via programmer or would I need to change the controller / motor / ? / anything else. Any advise gratefully received. I located in Bristol/Bath area UK and also have an older scooter which has an issue so is up for grabs if anyone wants it for experimentation etc... 4 wheel, large outdoor type.

You cant. Faster needs taller gearing. Which means more powerful motors. Which means heavier cables, bigger Amp controller, larger capacity batteries. And probably a bigger scooter to carry them.
