Joystick programing

Postby PA PA BOO » 30 Oct 2020, 21:50

Hello
I am Pa Pa Boo and I have 2 power chairs the one i am working on is a pride jazzy 1103 ultra it has the option to raise and lower the seat but is really slow going forward and backward. I loaned it to my buddy for the last 2 years and just got bit back and found out he never got the controller that has the up/down option reprogramed so it would go faster so thats what I need info on how to program the joystick controller? Any info would be helpful thanks.

First thing we need to know is what make of controller? A pic helps.

2nd thing is are we talking about disabling the speed inhibits here or something else?

Not sure what you mean by "speed inhibits"
The controller that has the up/dpwn option for the seat goes really slow no matter how fast you set it with the buttons on the board so I can only suspect it has been programed to only go a certain speed and no faster. the other controller with out the up/down option responds to the on board buttons and will go very fast or very slow by using the on board buttons

Not sure what those are...

Someone else will know.

Speed inhibit is like this.
If its got a seat tilt, or a seat lift, sometimes seat recline, then theres a sensor that tells the power module the seat is up... Or the seat isnt flat... The PROGRAMMING which you can change, then tells the chair to go slow to prevent it tipping you over...

That can be adjusted or disabled. Or it may just be programmed to be slow in forward or reverse for reasons we dont know. Shaky hands maybe.
