Hi,

My name is Kevin. I often use the handle 'wheels4me' for online accounts. I am 62 and live in Bellevue, WA. I have been a paraplegic for the last 40 years using a manual chair. Got old & fat with some health issues and am now transitioning to user a power chair.

Got a Bounder chair 18 months ago with a LiPFe battery. I have not used it much. Not so good for indoor use.

Got a used PerMobil M300 this week in mint condition. I want to be able to tune the controller myself. That's what brought me here.

More later,

Kevin

Well you will have issues probably.

Permobil use their own gyro modules, sometimes joysticks, and seating systems. Custom firmware is used, and can be impossible to properly configure or in some cases cannot be configured at all without impssible to obtain OEM level Permobil programmer and "wheelchair builder" etc. Most other chairs are all pure R-Net and so can be easily configured with a R-Net generic OEM level programmer.

So It may or may not be possible to some degree.

Welcome aboard.

What Burgerman said is correct about Permobil.

However, some things can be configured with a dealer level dongle. I have never done this to an M300, but have done it to a couple of C500s, a C350, and a couple of F5s.

If you have issues, be sure to start a thread with questions. Lots of folks here have been willing to help me in many ways.

Steve
