IMHO you may be better off (if its possible in your area) to rent a scooter on a weekly basis (not a long term deal unless you can easily cancel the payment if you are unhappy with service - be careful because its not so easy to cancel a credit card agreement if you have signed up to a contract - Paypal is much simpler)

Better perhaps to pm meI hope a scooter user is allowed here, Im not in a wheelchair (yet) but most of my concerns are of a technical nature, batterys, electrics, wheels etc which generally have common cause with motorised wheelchairs AFAIK. I do my own repairs and have a modest workshop (although this has become physically more demanding of late with advancing arthritis)
