Postby elainegillespie » 05 Apr 2017, 15:20

Hello.
My name is Elaine it must be great for those on this site ,having the feedom To reach places that are long lost memory To those severly disabled Using normal power chairs I am happy for you all
Wow to burger man What a dream he has built To be able to get out on snow sand all terrain Pity he does not sell hid adaptation powerchairs
I fell across this website Doing a search for 8mph power chairs. I live 5 minutes in car from a seafront I can only dream of getting on the beach On the odd occasion I get out As I have been getting progressively worse with a chronic illness of 11 years It saddens me watching those on the beach As I pass along on the promenade on my power chair Being to sick and debilitated to be able to work I can not afford a Extreme 8 I have severe muscle weakness in arms legs and 50 other syptoms

can anyone in Scotland or the uk sell and adapt second hand power chairs? like how burger man does his?,

best regards

IF they did, where would you go for one off maintenance parts, repairs, adjustment? And why do you presume it would be cheaper to build a one off chair compared to say a production chair such as an X5/V6 that would be OK on a beach?

HI BURGER MAN

Thanks for answering k see your point on repairs ect. I only thought it would be cheaper to adapt A second hand power chair If you change wheels ect To be all terrain I think I saw a post from you Before Saying you buy wheels ect on ebay You adapted 2ndhand chairs as a hobby? Its only cheaper if you are handy that way Or maybe I'm wrong?

they look cool great for rushing to loo lol

Those are the same size as the ones I use. If the sand is that soft, nothing thats actually still a wheelchair will work.
