I got the astrazeneca vaccine but....
A total of 168 people have suffered rare blood clots after taking the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine in Britain, and 32 have died, the UK's medicines regulator said.

No sore arm but I did have the chills for a day.

The percentage is less than 1 per million...

It also didnt deduct all those that would have had a blood clot anyway! So what does it really tell us?

In france they have 30 millon astrazenica vaccines in storage. There are people under 55 begging for it. Macron says no, only safe on over 55s. So they are beginning to throw away out of date batches now. Those over 55 can get it, but due to merkel and macron scare story bullshit, they wont take it... Meanwhile they are now ordering more. Far too late. The EU medical officials say its safe regardless.

This was all because they are still spitting feathers because the british left the EU. They cant seem to accept that we dont need them. They are behaving like fools and doing anything they can to hurt us. But its not going great for them. We have a huge GDP recovery in the making already, trade is almost at normal levels, and growing as we come out of lockdown. We also have new trade deals across the planet (almost 100 of them) inc giants like india etc. So they hate it. Why? Because it shows other how incompetant the EU is, and why nobody needs the mafia style central control and new communism they are gradually imposing on you all. So sooner or later there will be others being brave enough to tell them to stick their rules and threats where the sun doesent shine.

By way of example, the UK have already vaccinated over 75% of the population and well over a third (36+ percent) have had both shots. And almost everything is unlocked. There are just a handful die from it daily now. That wouldnt have been possible under EUSSR control as you can well see.

However the idiots have opened up travel to india. And so we will be getting that new variant that screws all this up any minute because boris is a tit. Already have cases of that india one spreading here..

90% of UK now vaccinated. And 45% have had a 2nd one.

Now the only worry is that boris let indians in with that new variant in. And it is spreading through the young non vaccinated people in some parts of the country. But everyone is free to go pubs, shops, resturants, theatres, etc. So we will see what happens. Even the EU are vaccinating people now. 5 months late.

You must have been missing off the list somehow. They are doing 30 year olds... All the disabled, old, vulnerable, carers etc was finished in mid march. Then they started on the rest. They forgot you.

90% of all adults now done as of yesterday. Uptake levels still high.
Yours should have been months ago - 9 to 13 weeks to be exact. I had my 2nd one weeks ago.

I wasn't keen on having it BM, in case it made my disability worst which is why I'm late to the party. But now I'm glad I've had my first dose which means I'm 96% protected from Covid.

Yes!

Too many anti-vax nutters out there.

New COVID cases continue to fall on this side of the pond, but UK is a step ahead.

We dont have an anti vax issue really here. Uptake is pretty good. Other than musims/blacks who dot want it... So self induced if yo ask me. We started with those that were old/vulnerable. Then moved down 10 years. Then another 10 years. We are now starting to do 20 year olds in some areas 30s in other areas. But those age groups dont generally die from it and some dont know they had it...

So the only ones that are still getting it, really are those that didnt want the vaccines, or those that are in the single dose group. 50% of the country had both doses. Again starting with the older and vulnerable.

Everything is supposed to be fully back to normal in june with no restrictions. We will see... It was super sunny today and I took a look at the beach. Absolutely jam packed! Like sardines.

And now we are apparently vaccinating all 12 to 15 year olds before the schools return after the summer break.

Why I dont know. They dont die from it or most dont know they even have it. And the rest of us already are vaxed so cant really get very ill even if we get it.

If they get it and it mutates then your vacs might be rendered useless.

Not if we had SHUT all borders as we should have done. We are an isand. We cannot get new strains unless we ALLOW it in.

If we insist on letting thousands in from india where they are overun with a new worse strain we will also end up with it. Oh wait... Thats exactly what that tit boris just did. banghead

Yes I suppose some kids might get it and cause a new strain. But thats far more likely to come from some over populated 3rd world shithole. Where they have low hygene standards and nobody vaccinated. Or from vast countries where they live in poverty like india, much of china, etc. Where thy live with their animals and eat anything that is or was alive. Fancy some waterbugs on a stick? Chicken feet?

We now have 81% of population done.

And 63% have had both vaccines done.

And have overtaken even the israelis in vaccination levels. The EU are still embarrased by us because it shows up the EUs complete incompetance. They hate brexit. How dare we dump their new ever growing communistic control by non elected EU commission/dictatorship? They hate that we are better off without their mafia style control/regulation.

Because we live in a crowded small island, and because we are around 90% free to do as we wish, infections are climbing quite fast. But people dont care since all the vulnerable and all the old that are likely to be hospitalised or die from it are already double vaccinated. They may still "catch" it. But are just not getting ill. Most of the new infections caught by the extensive testing operations are only finding the young infected. Since they are the last to be vaccinated. Most of them dont even know they are supposed to be feeling ill... The young are barely affected by it. So its all pretty much irrelivant how many are getting infected. Nobody cares any longer. It has less effect than a cold. And now they are starting vaccinating 18 year olds... Who are pretty much immune anyway.

So for all intents its all really over. Nobdy much is still bothering with masks or worrying about meeting in groups or sports etc.

This is a graph of covid deaths in the UK. Remember that most that die are not dying from covid. They die of many things, but have had positive covid tests within the last 28 days. So while we say that 18 per day currently die "from covid" here. Thats not really correct. Maybe non of those died FROM covid at all.

So this makes it look much worse than it really is. And its a month out of date by definition. As you can see we are all but free of it. At least those that die of it.

And you must. Or all the hospitals will be overwhelmed. And then turn people away with no oxygen or beds.

The ONLY solution is a rapid roll out of a vaccine. And you needed that to have been done already. Israel, the USA and the UK all got on with it fast. The EU and much of the rest of the world didnt.
