Well presumably he will play games. But its 8k capable. And will do 4k games all day long with all the detail settings on max. So he will add it to his PC and buy a 55 INCH 4k OLED LG TV as a monitor! He should sell it to me cheap because I already have the screen. :fencing

Real world example. I have a fast computer and a GOOD graphics card that will play modern games etc. Its an nVidea 1070 water cooled. But while its ok on games (I dont do games but I do flight sims) at up to 1080P HD it cannot do the same thing at 4k. So I have to lower the resolution to 1080p when doing sims. That 3090 card would be perfect at full 4k so greater detail, looks more real.

if i had a large desk - i would get a large monitor also - i have 32 inch - and thats large enough for my desk -

i can see how great it would seem to have the 55 inch and flight Sim - its engaging - i used to be more into Movies and HT stuff years ago

i was always amazing at my 55 TV - still am - but havint watched a movie in years - - dont watch TV at all - just in bed - documentaries or hows it made stuff -

amazing how much it takes to make a balloon - machines - etc, -

Its not so much size, its resolution. My laptop is 4k too. Screens can be high resolution, and small as well.

yes larger the screen the higher resolution is needed

i am so far behind - haha - my TV is amazing to my eyes - and its only 1080P Plasma - but it was the best of its time

Pioneer Kuro - picture still is amazing to me - if it were side to side to an OLED - that will change of course - i can only imagine

i have no reason to upgrade at all - dont even watch movies - i think this winter - i will get back into movies - i will try

I will bet he didnt have stock, once he saw the price was wrong...

Good try though. If something looks too good to be true then it usually is.

Note that in the review above he says that theres no point using that card with a CPU that isnt fast enough as it bottlnecks performance. So ruled out all AMD... And used the fastest intel.

I'm in the market of setting up a new pc... not sure what to go for yet...any suggestions... I've been spending alot of time in bed and a laptop is been doing the trick, but not sure I want to go down that road again... a little limited with what you can do with them...then again would appreciate suggestions.

Burgerman how is your set-up with the 55 inch TV... can you use it while in bed...with pc... got pics for the set-up?

Was thinking of getting a frame made that can wheel over my bed that can have 55 inch on a mount with pc to the side?

Its a bit too big for that!

But being 4k at native resolution 2 to 3 feet is a perfect distance for windows.

I've got a 42' hanging from the roof that is even with the end of my bed now, it's only 1080p so I'm looking at multiple options... I'm in the market for a all round pc as I've had laptops for my room but as I'm spending more time in bed..... 'DAMN PRESSURE SORES' I want something that can work hard but not heat up to much as a compact laptop has in the past... I've always gamed on playstations but it looks like pc might be better for me now... I'm not against a laptop again it's just I'm unsure which path to go this time.

You cant work from a laptop as theres just not enough real estate. Your window on the world is just too small. Its like peering out of a porthole. Right now I have around a doxen things I am doing. And as many windows that I am trying to shuffle around or minimise in order to attemp to do it on a stupid laptop. Its as frustrating as hell.

Its only good for people that think a computer is to shop, do social time wasting, or email. Useless for anything else. For many years I used a 30 inch dell 2560 x 1600. Then 2 at once. Way way better. Youhad some work space. Then a 4k 55 inch TV as a monitor, OLED. And I a still amazed by its colour depth, and pure blacks and the fast tat it looks identical from the top, the edge, or straight on. Its mesmerising. Plus no need for two monitors, and then some! I could never go back to any lcd or any computer monitor. Hell I can watch a 1080p movie at full resolution and tuck up into the top right corner as I work. Its a quarter of the screen. I can have a dozen windows open and still have room to something else without hiding or overlapping etc. And images or movies just look so much more colourful, and more real. OLED just cannot be matched. And I have tried practically everything for a monitor inc many 2 or £3k monitors. Non come close.

It's exactly how I feel... I've always liked having a large screen, I like having multiply things opened at once... I don't know how people watch content on phones, it would piss me off...lol

So how are you using your 55' screen now while your in bed? Is it the LG CX? They have fad good reviews especially the 48' for a replacement monitor.

Do you watch movies on them?

I dont. Other than to watch movies. Its on my bench next to my PC. I dont have it hanging over my bed. Thats why I am using the laptop!

Its as close to this one as makes no difference.
