Needless to say that gave it to me. I have been struggling with the same thing, a flue/cold/green stuff on my chest and endless tiring coughing. He tested negative for covid. For 7 days.
I in turn have passed it to another carer... And now they are ill in bed. Covid not involved. Just keep away from deseased people.
Mines 90% gone. Self medicated, with doxycycline 200mg a day and ibuprofen. And I discovered that the only thing that stopped my coughing, and got my oxygen sats from an unsafe 88 to 89 up to a safer 95 was that oxygen concentrator. I would have called a doctor but I live in the UK.
thats scary. Im glad your doing better. Thats what terrifies me i have very little cough strength to get mucus up it settles in my lungs causing pneumonia an thats a common killer for us.

Ditto. No diaphram control. Weak cough. But I get this clear mucus thing about 8 hours after eating too much as well. No need for infecion!

Even ambulances are now impossible.
The operator asks several quetions. If you are not blue or still breathing then you will be waiting a very long time.
A 60 year old woman fell off her bycicle at the junction near my carer martins house in ice a few months ago. At 7AM. Martin was awoken by the screaming so got dressed to see what was happening. She was laid in the middle of a junction. Cars skidding on the ice almost hitting her. So he blocked the road with his car and a neibours car. While calling an ambulance. She had a fractured femur or pelvis. It was minus 3C and icy. The emergency 999 operator said the ambulance would be approx 6 hours... (And it was. It literally turned up 6 hours after the accident).
So the neibours managed to get her onto a sheet. And lifted into an estate car rear with seat folded down. Instead.
And drove her to the accident and emergency hospital. To be met by a long line of ambulances that had been waiting since midnight or at least 7 hours. They had people with all kinds of injury and the hoospital wouldnt let them in. One in, one out. So they had to join a que. They were not even busy. All hanging about drinking coffee. Discusting situation.
I have a GP doctor that you cannot contact. This is extremely common. Who cannot get a prescription right for a regular 6 items, at anytime over the last 24 years. Maybe 4 or five times correct. Every other time they forget, or completely cock it up. When you email to tell them (cant call), they are not interested, and after much argument and back and forth they do a new one days later. When we turn up to collect this, they have forgot, or got it wrong. Frequently this happens 3 to 4 times every month. Complete incompetance.
My carer martin has been ill for 7 weeks with serious problems. He managed to see a doctor after 7 weeks trying, not his, but an emergency one, after literally hundreds of hours calling, turning up, and begging. And they sent him to the hospital for tests. The black doctor at the hospital told him that he shouldnt be there and his own GP should deal with it... Rinse and repeat.
The NHS is a sad joke. They sprinkle shit loads of cash in at the top, like dropped from a helicopter. Like all socialist organizations. But the staff, administrators, bosses and doctors are all perfectly happy. Because they get the same money regardless if they actually bother to see a patient. That is the lowest priority. We dont pay them the gov does. So they go in 2 mornings a week. And spend the time on a golf course or whatever. Leaving a bunch of frankly IQ test failures to do prescriptions and answer calls (one every 30 mins, and then they arange a call back by a doctor on one of the mornings he bothers to turn up.) Its all designed to make you give up as its all just impossible to deal with unless you are actually dieing.
Be careful what you wish for. This NHS has 8 MILLION of its 65 million population waiting over 12 months for treatment, tests, scans, etc. It has over 2 million waiting over 8 YEARS! And this incompetant and useless impossible to access "service" cost 20.5% of the gross national income.
It need scrapping, and privatising. Which doesent mean the massively over legislated non private US system. And no this has nothing to do with covid. Been this way decades.
