Traveling

Postby LROBBINS » 24 Feb 2022, 10:58

I will be incommunicado for a few days. Tomorrow we leave for Tromso, Norway in hopes of seeing the Aurora Borealis. Will get home at the wee hours of March 3. This is Ellen's 65th birthday present so no computer for Lenny. Rachi & her aided Geni are already on their way to Lago di Como for the duration.

Hoping safe travels and a brilliant light show! This sounds more fun than all the hippies laying around Oregon smoking weed waiting for the eclipse a few years ago.

Its a bit weather and sun output dependent though. So may or may not work out. We need pics!

Unfortunately the weather forecast is for snow the whole time so we may be out of luck for seeing the northern lights. But, we will have gotten away for a few days in any case.

i just found that story that just happened and figure i just post it-

it always amazes me how this can still happen in 2022 - when everything says how good they are etc, etc, and then treat us like this -

I think that if she cannot get to a bathroom, or already found in advance that she wouldnt be able to do so, then flying is not practical for her. I am in a similar situation. You cannot expect cabin crew to work as carers. Where does that end. Should they also wipe her backside? Lift her on and off too? She should have thought of this long before booking a flight. Or have her own carers with her.
