mask

Postby Burgerman » 28 Aug 2022, 11:29

Masks were officially scrapped here in march. Many threw them away long before march. Because, no covid, or at least very little and its no worse than a cold anyway.

And because the evidence shows that a mask, even a medical one, makes so little difference that its pointless anyway.

And so I see 99% of the people with no masks. As expected. But I still cant get near my doctors surgery. Thats still full of masked receptionists who wont allow anyone in. And at best a hand appears out of a almost shut door to give me a prescription...

Why?
And you still see the odd family in the shopping centre all masked up. And no I am not refering to the odd letterbox wandering around in 35C heat.

And the odd car, with masked driver...

People are weird. I never bothered with a mask from day 1. Because I reasoned that a microbe is 200x smaller than the holes in a medical mask. And a microbe is around 150x bigger than a virus! So it would be like dust bowing through a goal net! And most of your breath doesent even go through the mask but around it. So stupid!

Any excuse will do for the NHS not to provide the service they are paid for. My GP has sent me a letter to say they have been bought out by a private healthcare provider. I have minimal involvement with the NHS (mainly letters inviting me for this and that which I ignore) and I do not expect that to change.

I was reliably informed that the two principal doctors at our practice manage to take two weeks off every month. Needless to say you can't get an appointment in under six weeks.

Well thats a perfect example (the two posts above) of why socialism anything never works. They all get paid with helicopter tax payer money, and have found thousands of ways that they can escape even more work. Or blame something else, or make their lives esier. So why wouldnt they?

My primary care doctor is a member of an NGO.
At the end of the year he has rested more days than worked.
The law allows him to rest to attend to the affairs of the NGO...

Very sensible as their most useful function is virtue-signalling.

When a law is obviously nonsense, like masks, I consider them advisory/optional...
Just like all that political correctness, pronouns, and free speech. This site isnt owned by a bunch of woke lefty socialists like social media. Its a free speech site. Like GETTR https://gettr.com/ which all those with a brain should join! Its free speech again.

In Spain these exceptions had to be justified with a recent medical report.
And many doctors did not want to make the report...
