Carers.
I have had maybe 30. I used to only employ pretty young ones. Well I am bloke, was 37 and had to see these faces every day.
Turns out that it was a good choice. They were bright, learned, etc and worked out well. But they were at college or doing further education, or whatever. And I only employed ones that had some common sense, a decent stable family or that I knew as barmaids or whatever and being intelligent was the main important thing here!
If you employ people that are older and have been carers all their lives they do not tend to be all that intelligent regardless of how genuine, or nice they are as people. I tried this. People that have a care background frequently dont work out great. Many are not computer literate, cant do anything complex.
So when you find good ones, hang onto them! Old or young. But young intelligent ones that naturally nderstand stuff or that learn fast dont stay carers long. They move on. The next problem is that no matter how bright they are care work isnt for everyone. I couldnt do it... So its hard to fing intelligent carers.
So yes. Micromanaging is a thing! Unfortunately.
When you interview them, ask a few simple questions. Ask them to mark on a glass where 2/3rds full is. Or 25% full. You will be horrified to find that most have no idea and will say or mark "half". That tells you all you need to know.

Its not just carers. You can get over that by only employing bright reliable and genuine hard working ones. Takes a lot of time ad trial and error though.
But you are STUCK with councils, banks, repair services, property, doctors, wheelchair services and all the rest. It drives me insane.
