Windows 11 that I like!

I decided to have a real go of 11. Yes everyone hates it.

Why? It refuses to install unless it has:
- A CPU thats on the "list"...
- A TPM version 2 CHIP on the motherboard.
- SECURE BOOT setup with compatible computer.
- Your DRIVES encrypted with BITLOCKER!

Then... It insists on doing the following:
- You cant install without a MICROSOFT account. You have to log in. No simple local account or password just to your computer.
- It forces ADS on you! IN the operating sytem. On a PC you own.
- Its menu is designed to force you to search (so it can log and send you to MS and to BING and to EDGE and to ONEDRIVE) and its not just the menu. Even NOTEPAD wants you to sign in!!!
- Then it forces AI and CO-PILOT spies on you that screenshot everything you do and upload it to bill gates.
- Then at every opportunity it tries to get you to save everything to the cloud, onedrive, or to force the cloud based subscription office version, and other unwanted garbage apps on you. Subscription every month is now everywhere. Own nothing.
- And every time you find workarounds to try and mitigate some of it a new update takes away that fix. And it gets ever worse. With feature updates deciding to restart your PC for 30 mins while you are busy. And thats just a few of its frustrations. Its also highly locked down, refuses to allow older drivers or some hardware and even some software. It wont allow dual boot and DELETES anything you try to add if its using linux. And when it does it LOCKS your hard disk and then YOU cant access it! Its terrible.

But I have a simple 11 that does NON OF THAT. NON! It just works identical to 10 LTSC IoT does.
It will install straight from the desktop. Keep ALL your old existing settings, tweaks, colours, software, drivers, work, passwords, browsers, VPNs, etc exactly as before. And theres ZERO metro apps, ZERO one drive, ZERO microsoft account requirement, zero phoning home, zero ads, zero any of that crap stuff. It will install on ALL hardware, and it has no mention of clouds, one drive, "bundled crap" no office trials, no pressure to do anything.

It just fires up and then sits there and does nothing! :clap

Its still got a CRAP menu system. But I installed START11 and set that to give me the exact same menu as 10. Although configuring that took some time!
And 11 lost all my file assosiations so I had to spend a few hours telling it to use firefox for links, to use photoshop for jpg, to use PHOTOLAB for RAW images etc. About 50 of them to configure. Now, its EXACTLY the same as Windows 10 LTSC IoT that I was using. No more, no less. All the windows 11 crap is gone. Its a de-crapified safe easy to install 11.

If you want the same, do this: (below)

USE THIS VERSION:
Windows 11 ENTERPRISE 2024 IoT LTSC (with extended 2034 support)
DISCONNECT from the net.
Get it from MASSGRAVE. And get the MAS latest ACTIVATOR too.
And use THIS serial when asked.
KBN8V-HFGQ4-MGXVD-347P6-PDQGT

DISCONNECT from the internet.
Extract the files from the ISO. Install from any plain folder, not an iso. From any disk. I just put a folder on the desktop.
Run your normal windows 10, as normal, just click on setup.
It will offer to keep all your existing apps, settings, and user data. In my case it just basically updated a complete windows 10 fully configured system with shit loads of software and customisations going back many years. Ignore the "no updates" on unsupported hrdware warning and carry on. (Its nonsense! There are updates till 2034)

Then after install run the MAS Crack... It turns it into the the correct version and permanantly activates it. Right click the MAS file, choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. Follow instructions on screen. Done.
Then reboot a few times, do about 10 windows updates, and then delete all the leftover crap on the drive. Use diskcleaner or whatever. Especially "windows.old" and any other junk on the root of C.

This kept all my programmes, settings and even the non standard theme etc all as before.
What did it need doing? Well the start menu is crap, couldnt find any of my hundreds of programs so I installed START11 (I have a crack) and got my Win 10 menu back.
I also had to re-configure hundreds of file associations so that the correct programs opened them winrar, photoshop, firefox, and many more. That took me half a day.

What is the difference between this and the usual nightmare 11?
EVERYTHING!

So just like 10, the LTSC IoT version is the one that EVERYONE needs, but the one they dont want you to have. Microsoft want you to use a MS account, Ai, CoPilot, online office and onedrive, bing, and all their other metro ads, MS stre, ads/subscription stuff and this version does NON of that. In this case its even more extreme as normal 11 is totally unusable. I am still sticking to 10. I have dual boot setup so can choose either one. Once configured the only difference is the menu system. And the one in 11 is DESIGNED so you cant easily find anything, so you search instead. And then the spy sends the search data to microsoft. And its stupidly slow to find or even remember whats installed as you cant see it anywhere!

11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024
Change serial after installing or during.
KBN8V-HFGQ4-MGXVD-347P6-PDQGT

Run the MAS crack in the zip.

Download it here:

Or
Download either of the Win 11 IoT Enterprize LTSC files on this page:
https://massgrave.dev/windows_ltsc_links

Keep!

Newest Adobe Photoshop, precracked. Block the exe files in the install folder and it will remain registered forever...

https://www.mediafire.com/file/mfcsnbwr ... 5.zip/file

This needs you to download the latest Adobe RAW if you use raw files. Its free from adobe...

CoPilot is evil. Particularly the ReCall feature.
I've been running Win10 LTSC iot for years and saw no reason to change. I tried Win11 on a test machine last year and I was disgusted from the get-go. I'll give Win11 LTSC a try and run it for a while. I need to play with it for a couple weeks.
I may be done building computers for the foreseeable future. The Corsair Vengeance RAM kit I bought a year ago for $97 is currently retailing on Newegg for $430. SSDs and spinny discs are going up as well. The data centers have sucked up all the memory and storage on the market.
The A.I. future is here and soon we'll be leasing bandwidth and RAMwidth from the darn cloud for a subscription fee.
I am not a happy nerd.

I know. I bought 3x 4TB NVMe a coupl of years ago for 215, 220, 220 each. Those are now 450 each!
My laptops all have 32GB and a 4TB SSD each, my camera has a 2TB CF Express card and a 1TB SD in the 2nd slot. My desktop PC has 4 2TB drives and a single 4TB NVMe and 128GB system ram. And 16 cores, 32 threads so not in need of upgrades. Its also now got 11 on it.

Normal 11 is totally unbearable.

So I am good to go. I have not owned a mechanical drive in a decade.

As for windows 11 LTSC IoT then once you apply the defender controller (turn off that real time garbage) and use Stardock Start11 to get your windows 10 start menu back. Then you basically have a slightly improved 10 LTSC that looks and feels exactly the same with non of the crap, no hardware requirements (turn off TPM, TPM2, SAFEBOOT, all legacy MBR based stuff, and hard drive encryption too. And no MS account or cloud based anything, or any metro apps needed. All AI nonsense disabled or missing entirely. Better still, you can run it in windows 10 LTSC and it keeps all your settings, software, work, etc and so is a totally painless install. Then just activate with the MAS latest. I can upload a full "kit" if you want!

Strange thing happened on the road to Windows 11 iOT LTSC. I downloaded and installed it last night and all seemed well. The only reason I did this was because I've hit a problem in the PerfectScript program for the voice output/disability adapted computer and I just wanted to check that my Win10-iOT LTSC hadn't been corrupted.

All seemed well last night; Win11 functioned smoothly and pretty well mimicked Win10, and I was able to confirm that my programming problem was not an OS problem. However, this morning when I started (and then re-started) the PC I had lost network connectivity and everything ran with astounding delays and errors. I ended up restoring the image of Win10 & all is back as it should be. Given that the PC I'm using is nearing it's end of days, and 10-LTSC will be supported till well after this machine ends up at recycling, I'll just leave it be. Curious, though, whether anyone else has run into this kind of problem.

Ciao,
Lenny

I have done this on 2 laptops belonging to family. My desktop PC, and 3 laptops of my own with zero issues.

Be sure that BITLOCKER and TPM, TPM2, Secure Boot, etc is all turned off and disabled along with anything legacy like MBR boot etc. UEFI everything.

I am content for now to keep going with Win10 iOT LTSC - it will outlast this PC in any case. I installed Win11 just so I could see if the problem with VOCA was OS related - it's not. I also checked whether it is a strangeness (and there are a number of them) in this HP Spectre by putting VOCA on Ellen's ASUS (after deleting a massive amount of calls in VOCA to programs she doesn't have in her machine). enough to know that the particular problem is also not HP related. So, it looks like there is something elsewhere in the 20,000+ lines of VOCA for WordPerfect that makes a Modeless! dialog subroutine act as modal, even though it works correctly when just on its own.

The whole point of this exercise was to give Ernesto a way to exit VOCA with just a touch screen press, instead of having to need an external switch connected by USB as a "Q" (= quit) key. But I guess that external switch will just have to still be needed to be able to do non-VOCA things such as backups (incremental, cumulative and image). Combination of having to simplify things for his multiple sclerosis and near complete ignorance of computers - he's better than I am though with a smart phone.

BTW, no bitlocker etc. though I did have to enable hibernate because with the HP folded as tent or tablet the power key is inactive (one of those HP Spectre strangenesses) and the only way I've found to shut it down is with a hinged magnet fooling the lid switch to get it to hibernate.

Lenny
