Mine? Its a Nikon D700 and a pack of lenses.

14-24 f2.8
24-70 f2.8
70-200 f2.8 VRII

If any of that stuff means anything to you? Most of the stuff ob my sites came from that or D300 and 18-200 VR lens. Thats my point and shoot!

I have to add I didnt take that. But I have many that I did that are very similar!

Have you had a look at any HD video cameras?

Nope. But the next generation of DSLR cameras have HD (Proper 1920 x 1200 hd) built in. And then you have the advantage of huge sensors, low noise, shallow depth of field and choices of ultra high quality lenses that are as good if not a lot better than the pro film industry uses...

My site is already over a Gigabyte in size though. And eats bandwidth faster than the advertising pays for it. HD on there will make it even worse! I may have to put ads on the forum one day too, but am trying not to do so.

http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/images-photos/ducks/ in your browser you might need to click it to see full size.

Some ducks. This is why I waste money on high quality lenses. No not to photograph ducks, but for the image quality. I like to do nude art stuff and outdoor nude art landscape stuff. But I cant show you sadly - not enough volunteers that will allow themselves to be put on the web!

Any way its really just 1 duck. Actually a new swan. It was at the park today while I was walking my german shephard dog. It just kept trying to steal my diet ham and cheese wrap...

More junk - testing Nikons new 70-700 pro lens for sharpness and depth of feild wide open etc. In the pub obviously. Thats the best place for 2000 pound lenses! http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/images- ... lens-test/ But its ultra sharp even wide open. And out of focus is smooth. You get what you pay for.

Lovely!
And that Stella pic is fab.

Seems like there's no substitute for top class lenses - unless you're an artist, then you decide on the resolution [vine charcoal sticks, cheapo draper drawing pads and a mark I eyeball were my favourites} and the nude models don't mind you posting the results on the 'net!

I like those portraits of the swan, did you use the pop up flash in the pub or have you a flash gun??

Pub shots? When I arrived, I stuck my flash (off board), aimed at the ceiling, set to "remote" on the bar at the end of the room. Never touched it again.

The camera "talks" to it and I can change exposure and power etc easily. The flash on the camera only adds a tiny amount, (chosen in camera) but controls the sat on bar one for every shot.

Its dark with horrid colours and lighting in there and without this all pics are just horrible!

Swan? Just point and shoot mode. But they are totally sharp without any "sharpening" just default "normal" in cam. There is a big difference between sharp by lens and sharp by "sharpening" in a cameras jpg engine or a pc.

I wouldnt normally take shots of martin http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/images- ... 3stops.jpg
Since he could well crack the glass in a 2k lens. Just lens testing and he moves very slowly!

I generally dont like picrures of men. I have literally thousands of women / girls, in various states of dress (or not) and about 5 of men! They just dont look good to me. I am also a sharpness freak! Dont buy a nikon until they make the 24mpixel version of the d700! Then it will be as good as their lenses!

The ducks, no flash at all. Just sunshine as far as I remember. http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/images- ... dswan1.jpg The smooth background is cool. You cant get that sharp, with that smooth background withoutt a f2.8 200mm and full frame. This was yet more lens testing at the local park.

The Canon 550D looks good. 18mp and hd movie all for under £650 for the body.

But nikons lenses are just a step ahead. Canon dont have any wide lenses that I would consider sharp enough for 12 mpixels. Never mind 18.

And they are a bit "plasticy" and I have yet to get one to focus on anything moving!

But like you say its a good price. But you have to look at systems as a whole. And Nikons are built better and are about to release a new full frame camera after a 2 year wait!

A Vespa was the first 2 wheeler I ever rode - OK I was 4 and sitting between my father legs but I was steering it - honest!

And I still adore the smell of those old bean cans. But this is my kind of scooter!
