I think it would work for intermittent use but will still be too big and wear carpets for full indoor use. And they should have put it on the front for stability reasons.

Its one of these as fitted to various things.

Aah burgerman, was hoping you would like this one :D guess not, haha. I actually have an observer with the auto-leveling seat and it is unbeatable. I think it can beat any other chair in any challenge. like that top gear challenge they did a couple of years ago, I would beat them to the top and start cooking up some sausages and a nice brew before they got there! :D

But its slow. And its not a wheelchair and impractical indoors even with a drop down caster. It would look out of place in a pub, shopping centre even. So why struggle with batteries and stuff? Why not just use a real non "mobility"4x4? And have real off road capability, air conditioning, and central locking... Or an old land rover.

Or any one of the countless off road buggies or quad bkes?

The reason I went for the observer is the power and the auto-levelling seat mainly. I have been up Pen y fan in it(even a quad bike would struggle over some parts). The battery lasts 9miles on the roughest terrain at full speed. I wouldn't go for a quad bike or a or a car because then I couldn't go on walk ways, on the beach, climb mountains etc. and I also take it into the local sainsbury's. Having said that, I do get some kids going (wow, cool, look at that! haha)
