Any experience with the Sango Advanced powerchair?

I currently have a Quickie Jive M, it’s all but 5 years old, I’ve done nearly 5000 miles on it and realistically it’s time to look at replacing it. I had thought I’d get a Quickie Q700 but I’ve discussed the Q700 with my supplier, they think it’s not a good idea for me. Based on their reasoning I’ve come to agree.
Their suggestion was originally Quantum Edge HD but it felt like it would be limiting for me and just didn’t feel right. They’ve now suggested the Sango Advanced powerchair from Dietz power. I would get the MWD version. I quite liked it but I know very little about it, don’t know the brand or anyone with one. So does anyone have any experiences to share?
For background, I understand Dietz is a Dutch brand. I’m told the Sango has been on the market there since 2017 but only here in the UK for about 18 months.

They are aparently OK. We have at least one user with a dietz chair.
Tell me, what was the reason they gave for the Q700 (mid?) chair not being any good for you?
I have a rear drive one.

It would have been the Q700 Mid, I specifically want at MWD chair.
I have had a lot of problems with the gas struts on the Jive. Breaking at every few months. They say the Q700 has the same gas struts so it would just continue. I am at the higher end of the weight limit and do a lot of miles. Apparently they have someone else who has a Q700 and is under but near the weight limit and replacing it because of repeated gas strut issues.

It doesn’t matter, I’ve decided against the Q700 and thinking of the Sango.

Rear gas struts on the q700m are a weak point and regularly leak the gas/oil out rendering them useless.

I keep looking at my q700. And forgetting that we are taliking about mid drive! They use gas struts like a cars tailgate?
Cant say I looked at one that close.

yes very similar, to try and keep the front castors pushed down and allow them to lift with some control.

Will do a review of mine once it's setup and configured properly.

Rover, is it possible to adjust the seat dump as I don't want the seat completely flat when the recline is all the way down. I'd need about a 5 degree tilt back without having to tilt it slightly. Any help would be appreciated.

I guess I need to use spacers to lift the front end of the seat up?

yes quite possible, couple of spacers between the seat module and the lift/tilt mech, just be wary that you dont create a clash with the rear of the seat if you go to max tilt.

Just noticed this thread!
The Dietz Sango Advanced powerchair is excellent once it's set up and configured properly (R-net OEM dongle and programming software needed). There's still a few tweaks to be made to my seating requirements, but apart from that it's a very usable chair. I don't recommend having the seat raised at all while travelling as it can be very unstable, so keep seat at lowest position!

Do you mean the seating is wobbly or weak when tilted or up? Or that the chair is unstable (tippy?) if raised/tilted?

Yes BM, the seat wobbles a bit when raised up on uneven surfaces, so I prefer to keep it at it's lowest position. I wouldn't say it was weak, just unsteady if that makes sense! Also I wouldn't attempt climbing my vans ramp with the seat raised a little as I felt the chair could tip backwards onto it's anti-tip wheels.
I do have a Recaro seat fitted on my Dietz chair, so maybe that causes the lift mechanism to be more wobbly than a stock seat.

No that shouldnt make a difference. Its the typical crappy seat mechanism.

Has a smooth ride, thanks to advanced suspension and high-performance motors, which handle various terrains well. The customizable seating and ergonomic design offer comfort and support for long-term use. However, sometimes it can be relatively heavy and challenging to transport. Overall.

Can you elaborate on the 'advanced' suspension. It has rubber vibration dampers...... Not sure 'advanced' is the word.
