Are any of you user of Ottobock powerchairs?

What do you think of this manufacturer?

I still use my Ottobock B400 it is built like a tank - litterally thick steel construction

Hello Martín and Ricky, yes, they are very strong and here in Argentina from Ottobock they are the most sold because they are the most common model. They are used for powerchairs, bowls, daily life and they are the ones that come to us the least for repair, as "common chairs" they have good approval.

We tried the Otto Bock Skippi a few years ago. We really liked the chair, but it came to a complete halt as they only had one type of motor for that chair. The max speed was around 7 km/h if I remember correctly. So yeah, it was a no go for us. No way I’m forcing my kid not being able to “run”. It’s not like the kids in school only move in walking speed when they are out playing, so why should my son be forced to move like a snail.

But other than that , the construction felt nice. Just to bad they didn’t believe more in their own product.

Faster motors draw more current. At all speeds. And 30Ah batteries wouldnt be able to cope. So its probably not wise anyway. May be the reason they dont offer it as a faster chair.

Hello, sorry for not answering before Snaker and group, I was quite absent from the forum. The best-selling chairs here from the Ottobock brand are the manual Centro S1 model which is around £240 and the motorized B400 which is around £4700.
