Any Experience with Merits Dualer Power Wheelchair

Hi everyone,

I’m starting to look at options for a new powerchair and one that’s been suggested to me is the Merits Dualer Power.
From what I’ve gathered, it’s a mid-wheel drive chair but can switch between front- and rear-wheel drive, which sounds quite handy.

I currently use an older model (about 6 years old now) and it’s definitely showing its age after lots of mileage. Comfort and maneuverability indoors are really important to me, but I also need something that won’t struggle too much outdoors on pavements and uneven surfaces.

Outdoors and uneven surfaces?

Well look elsewhere!
Its got solid and small weels/tyres... Ouch on every bump.
No suspension front or rear... Again ouch.
Weedy 60A controller.
4 to 5 mph 2 pole motors to match the weedy controller.
Microscopic U1 batteries that will last a few months if you actually try and go places outdoors.

The thin single post seat mounts are weak and wobble and flex about.

It is basically an indoor and at best shopping centre chair.

You probably didnt want to hear my opinion though. :argument
