Has anyone come across Bomba 7 wheelchairs? Looks rather like an Airel Atom.

Be interested in reviews and views - I only need this as an outdoor wheelchair - indoor ones I can get for free.

Kind regards

These? Seem to work. Batteries very small, and slow but all electric off road devices have the same issues.

What I really object to is that everything from a tankchair to this, calls itself a "wheelchair". Its not. Its an outdoor buggy/car. It cannot work indoors or as a wheelchair and so why struggle with battery power offroad where its really up against it?

Battery power doesent = wheelchair!

Have you looked at quiet 4 stroke quad bikes or off road buggies? Much better performance, and range, and cheaper. Many conversions around.

Thanks for the comments John.

I am looking for something that I can operate easily and that can be easily adapted to suit my condition - early stage MND - legs for now. I want to still get out in the countryside on a daily basis - just rough tracks but fairly flat. Two Irish Setters need a bit of walking and I need to walk them.

Anyone got any recommendations to suit me?

I am not saying that it (or other) off road things don't work. Just that they are generally rubbish compared to what you may expect, (underpowered and short of stamina/range) compared to petrol powered devices and overpriced because they insist on calling them wheelchairs...

Thanks for the link - spoke to sales lady - useful conversation - especially about the young lady who took one up Ben Nevis. Quite expensive but I have a cunning plan....
