what kind of chair is this goin on ? did you get the 15ah Cells -

Probably a Quickie Salsa M1 or M2, I somehow ended up with both. But I would also love to buy a proper outside chair like maybe a Storm 4. Yes I got 18 Headway 40152S 15ah. Two extra just in case.

224 Singapore dollars is 128 uk. 29 Singapore dollars (£16 uk) for 5 day FedEx shipping. I cant afford to buy these from that UK dealer. They are just a dealer, not part of the celpro/FMA organisation. And often pretty ignorant of the product too. But too late if you did it already.

i didnt realize you are not in the States here - BM would know the links for those Sub D in Europe i believe -

when starting off - its not cheap - and get extra in case you make a mistake - you need to use good quality parts - this way - you do it right once and should last a long time -

Lots of places. Search by part number, and add UK... Or look in the lithium thread. Or just use RS or similar expensive suppliers...

Make sure the ones you get handle 40A and 5A for the balance wires - it seems they have different ratings for some - and look the same - double check before ordering -

However , realty is it's a challenge to find space for add-on battery , underneath a chair with power seat .

I don't like it swinging behind my back like Expresso 's .backpack .

Look into your Xplore and you'll see .

Thanks everyone. I ended up buying the D Sub Connector from http://www.mouser.co.uk just to have one delivery cost. It came to about £55. Other cables from revolectrix Singapore.

But the part #'s are right, and after looking again, the data sheets, they are indeed the right ones. It even says the pics are omly for reference and look at the data sheets for more accurate/specific info. But the images threw me off.

Worth pointing out that the eBay vendor IS Evassemble - all they are doing is putting together a package in order to post an advert on eBay and hopefully steer business to their site... At least when I did the search on eBay while pricing my cells, they were the only ones selling the 15Ah cells on eBay...

The eBay price was about the same as what they were asking on the evassemble website, and on the website you got to order the numbers of things that you wanted...

I ended up getting my stuff from a different vendor, and saved a few hundred dollars, but given the length of time and the total cost, one could argue about whether the time I spent was worth the money I saved....

i made this cable 2 feet short - you can make it 3 feel if you like to make the 36 inch balance wires - have to extend the power wires to make it even

I have something unclear. Why does the D-Sub have 3 power pins (holes?)? Why did not you choose D-Sub with 2 power pins, so the D-Sub could be a little more compact? Is there any downside of D-Sub with only 2 power pins?

if you can find a Sub D which holds two large pins for the power leads and enough small pins for the balance wires - and can handle high amps - 40A on large pins and 5A on the balance wire pins

thats fine - you can use what ever works for you - this just happen to have 3 large pins - you need at least 2 large and 9 small pins for the balance wires

this is the closest here that meets that and can handle the power you will be pushing thru it - even if you dont charge at 40A - thats ok - at least you know its build to handle it - quality is important - since its not cheap to make and takes time and very important that it works !!!

so you dont want to use cheap stuff just to have issues down the line - - remember what ever you use - you will have to use the same ones to make sure they fit - female and male etc, -

if you want to change later on - then you have to redo all of them - - so before you start- just make sure what ever you use can handle it and is a decent quality -

anything you need to know or dont understand fully - just ask - better to be safe -

I'm a diehard Quickie 626-646 user . I have a couple chairs and plan on switching around, and figure building a add on is a good way to get my feet wet!

Nice i love my 646 chair also - you be surprised when your done - i be surprised if your not impressed with the range after - for many people - you wont even loose a green bar in a days use - - i recall using my phone GPS and by the time i lost the first green bar - it was 18 miles

this was the p222se chair - it can vary on a few things - but more or less in that area - which i think is excellent - going from lead alone - i was never able to do that - i would be in the Red down to flashing Red if i ever pushed it that much - now i rarely get in the Red with my Add ON Chair - only if i come up towards you to the GWB - and back - thats about my limit with that chair - which comes out to about 25 miles round trip - not bad for just a little add on -
and still not in the Red - - down to Orange bars -

i said the same thing you said - i try the ADD ON first just to see - and i had a BMS with it - Two weeks in - removed BMS - went to PL 8 and went all in for the Full pack - i was sold in two weeks - i ordered again for the full pack and added another 8 cells to the ADD ON - to make it 36ah - using 12ah cells the first time -

now with 15ah cells - much better - more compact - and you will get the same range out of it more or less - makes it easier for the first time to build 2 Rows -

i bet once your done - you will be planning to make one of your chairs full lithium -
