If it does 8mph with stock 24v it should do 16mph at double the volts. All depends if theres any spare headroom kept to steer well.

Steve , are you using 10" tubeless rim ?

Does it have lid over the rotor edge , or is it supported by the 5 bolts on the outer face only ?

Yes 10" SIP 3 inch wide tubeless scooter rims.
No 'lid', it's bolted to the original mounting holes, 5 x 8mm.
Too much work on the other side of the wheel for me to ever get any more made like this, there are 5 slots milled out of the rim and 5 lugs bolted to the rim and the original Invacare wheel outer which itself had to turned down on a lathe. I had a picture of 'the other side' I was going to post, but I can't find it. I'll have to take another the next time the wheel is off.
Shirley, is it possible for you to source 10" wheels like you supplied to Burgerman but without the 5 large holes drilled in the faces? They would be a really good starting point for a new set of wheels for me :biker

Yes , available in 2.5/3.0/3.5 wide @£20 or so.

The next one is split rims , not tubeless .

The second picture is split rim? How much are they Shirley? Do you have a sideways pic? I could seal them couldn't I? O but they probably won't take a tubeless tyre :argument
Something like that that could take a tubeless tyre would be perfect, as It's easy to attach an ally disc to it

I had a go myself today at recording a top speed using the Ulysse Speedometer app on my android phone, I got it up to 10mph and that was enough for me! I'll never want to go faster than that in my indoor/outdoor wheelchair . Maybe if I ever swap and put it into my outdoor/indoor chair I might venture maybe one or two extra mph (it has a longer wheelbase), but 10mph feels bloody quick!
I'm going to get my stuntman(nephew) back and get him to try, because I have to know what it's capable of, even if I'm never going to use it.

16 mph, without suspension, is OK only on smooth surfaces. Yes short wheelbase matters. You need to be quite brave!

12 or 13 mph is ok, 10 actually feels quite slow when you get used to it.

But it doesent matter, best speed is what you are comfortable with. The fact that you are using higher voltage, and not actually going at max speed means that you are still getting quite high battery efficiency, and good control at speed because of the unused headroom. Just set it to what you are comfortable with as a max speed.

Around 12 to 14mph, while getting caster shake issues. Lowering pressures stopped that.

Download to PC first as its high bandwidth, may not play directly. 15mph, but its a smooth surface
Camera angle crap, go pro trapped between chin and chest or in mouth, dont remember which...

I hadn't seen that vid of you doing 15mph before, the one I saw you were on the pavement. I love the tyre screech as you slow down! The acceleration is impressive too
That's the same app I'm using.

Because when you try it you find out you need one hand on joystick, and then two more for gps/phone and the camera... :clap

Wheelbase does make a big difference. My mob scooter WB is exactly twice as long as my powerchair. Plus having handlebars you feel a bit safer (something to hang on to), especially going down hill!

@burgerman
Think C rate.
What is the stall current on those motors at the battery.
You may find that its rediculously high as on my storm 4...

I've now got a turnigy 180amp meter and my new battery monitor connected up, and the most I can get it to pull is 21amps, thats from standing start and a hard turn left/right with me in it. I thought it would be much higher than that.

I can vary the wheelbase and the COG on my outdoor/indoor chair, something which I could play with if I ever get a RoboteQ on my main chair. It's so stable up to 8mph I never bother to use my extra wheelbase but it could prove useful at higher speeds, maybe. It could make it worse! The adjustable COG I use while driving for comfort, and out of the car I just set it as far back as possible.
