Nice looking chair. Is you's the top of the range version?

It must have the same turning circle as a small scooter going in reverse.

How stable does it feel at speed compared say to a RWD powerchair.

Does the way it turns take a bit of getting used to?

PS: you could always hook up 8 additional lifepo4 cells to the 176Ah's

Mine is the standard version. With the latest version of the frame and R-Net updates.

It's stable as my RWD Puma. Even at 11 MPH it was fine.

It's a bit longer then my Puma 40. But it does not cause me any problems. Just come from the dentist. My chair was fine :)

Having a rear steer will take me a few trips out to get used to. But no more then when I first used a chair.

I don't think I need more cells. The BEAST(that's it's name) has one 950W motor and a very small one for the rack and pinion at the back.

My scooter has an 800w (continuous) motor. It gets hot to the touch but doesn’t take the skin off your fingers! Lol

Upload some photos of of chair sometime

I managed to get them down to $1279. Or £977 All shipping and import taxes included. Sounds about right to me. 16 x 105ah batteries.

Call it 1k.

Its double the cost approx of 74Ah MKs. https://www.tayna.co.uk/mobility-batter ... 24-sldgft/
Of which just 40Ah is accessible, and 9 months working life at best if you DO access all that huge 40Ah daily. At least thats what I get.
You got 5x the usable Ah for the same cost as 2 sets of MKs.

Over 18 months, thats the SAME cost. (9 months and they are showing less range)
Over 36 months then, 2x the cost of your lithiums.
Over 9 years (LiFePO4 has been working that long here already) thats a huge 6x the cost!

And that 6x the cost is for just 40 usable Ah. You got 200+Ah!

So you got 5x the amount of fuel, or 5x the range for 6x less cost over a decade. Thats 30x cheaper in real terms after a decade Ah per Ah.
You must add the cost of a charger to that. But then you must add the cost of your mobility charger to that lead price too. You bought that when you bought the chair. And at silly cost.

Screwed up by the extra 75Ah pouch cells, move forward to a pack with 24 EVE LF-105 cells; ie 3p8s @24V 300Ah (usable) .

This is the bottom layer. cheers

I heard something on BBC that HK has gotten a new boss - just hope it isn't a case of "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss..."

I don't know how much we need to worry about censorship, but I know that I have been hearing VERY mixed stories about the situation in HK, and I'd love to hear some about what is really happening if that can be done w/o causing problems...

But from listening to BBC and the US media it sounds like the place is going up in flames or being thrown at the cops, one brick at a time....

Other stuff I've seen says that outside of the actual demonstrations it is 'life as normal'....

I'm sure the reality is somewhere in between and I'd love to hear more from a less biased source....

Our daily life is not much affected , except in areas during demonstration .

Economy downturn is expected after Chinese New Year .

Crazy acts include attacking tourists ; vandalize everything , including the historic HSBC lion statues . What a fool !

I sold my refurbished PL8, used for 3yrs, and open box of another one brand new.

Keep measuring capacity of the rest of the EVE LF-105 lot, under the same settings.

Now all resulted in over 101Ah , up to 102Ah.

Hope this new PL8 is accurate , while the previous one is 1.5% under-rated. cheers

After initial charge of cells individually, noting cell capacity of each, leave alone for a couple of weeks, preferably longer, then top up each again to see how much self-discharge has occurred. Group cells in pairs matching self-discharge rate as best as possible. Then charge & balance whole pack.
C5/6 A (complete)
Puma 40, 75Ah LiFePO4 (pic is on tour @ Whistler, BC)
Puma 40 backup, 73Ah MK (for now)
Spectra Plus (weedy 40Ah MK)

Group cells in pairs matching self-discharge rate as best as possible.
\

He means so that each parallel pair, match the other parallel pairs. So that all 8 groups end up with the same or as close as possible, the same self discharge across the pack. Then the 8 groups should not go out of balance as fast over time.

Fully charge each cell, with the same settings. Then remove say 5Ah from each cell. Be exact. If you fail, and take say 4990mAh out, or 5200mAh then write it on the cell. Ant thats fine. Dont be more out than a few hundred mA.
Do all.
Wait a month if your patience allows.
Then charge each cell individually. And make a note of the exact mAh returned. And write that on each cell under the first figure. It should be a larger amount. The difference is what it lost.
Write that under the two figures...

Did a capacity test to my Mega_Pack
@3.605V ⇒ 3.00V.
Out of one single reservoir , have to dump it to my two empty chairs by 2 sessions.

175.518 + 125.074.
Total : 300.592Ah.
(real usable @3.006V lowest, pack voltage at 24V , without harm done to cells)

End of race. hanged cheers drunk2
