Well you've not paid it to me exactly.
Burgerman wrote:Well the sunrise and the permobil ones are not! Its more the fact that they are too easy to move position left/right rather than wobble that annoys me. I almost ran into a parked car while aiming for a gap between lamp post and car when I hit a bump and my hand pressure moved it inboard unexpectedly.
I never saw a Dietz one. It looks similar? It wont bother steve anyway as he uses feet... God knows how!
Dont ever take one apart. Putting it back together made me swear a lot.

The seat sits about two inches higher than my old chair which is the right height for most things. Apart from that I'm well pleased with the Dietz Sango chair.
Many thanks to Rover for spending time trying to set it up as close as possible and letting me reprogram it to my settings that suit me.

Thanks for your help.

Burgerman wrote:On most chairs the seat lift modules are pretty similar. And about 2 inches thick. So on most chair it means that with group 24 batts, the seat does sit 2 inches (or at least 1 inch higher). And on some cairs that can be lowered but at the cost of battery size being group 34 as they are the same but an inch shorter in height. And lower capacity. And seat depth, dump, and width is usually just a relatively quick spannering job!
I am presuming the Dietz chair is similar?
Burgerman wrote:Maybe those 8 inch x 3 inch wide "smooth" tyres I used on that q700r will give him a couple of inches extra.

Yes pretty much.
Steve's is set on the highest of 4 positions to help footplates clear the 10inch castors. Will be able to drop the static height down no problem and tweak footplate position if it results in clashing. No need to remove lift module.
Just nuts and bolts to tweak. Always going to be required when going from a 20yo plus chair to something new.

You raised the footplates up, so lowering the seat shouldn't be an issue?
Steve
My bad, I thought you meant the smooth castors then noticed you'd put 3.00-8.
steves1977uk wrote:Those tyres look ok BM, but I'm guessing I'd need the backend lowered too?

There's a spacer in the rear that would need removing. Let's try dropping seat height first
