Ignition MUST be ON.

There is no trick or special setting used in getting the interface to work .

Has your TTL-USB adaptor installed it's drivers correctly?

yes the driver is installed correctly. first it was on COM 8 then I switched to COM 2 because I thought that the software might not work with COM 8. I also measure a signal whenever the software checks the various ports with the oscillator between DATA and GND. The picture of the control unit that you sent has a different connector arrangement than that of the control unit from me. Can this be the reason?

maybe someone could give me the ohmic values when I measure rows 1 to 7 ohmic on the circuit board from above.
Thank you for your help

I haven't currently got one made , so cannot supply you with any Ohmic values...give me a couple of days and I will build one

Hello again,
If it's can help for me after changing the USB/RS232 adapter it's working find.
However I have made changing in the controller (increasing the speed of course) but the difference is not much.
May I send you the file with the new setting for some advice?
Thank you

Your program is already at it's limit as far as SPEED is concerned.

It is however possible to add a little more urgency to the acceleration, but as I have said, nothing extra to the top speed.

The Maximum Forward speed value change from 50 to 100 in Profile 2 -> no effect.
I also try to disable the Profile 2 in the Multi-function Inputs configuration with no success.
The maximum speed stay at 8km/h.
Any idea?

Why do you think that 8 km/hr is not it's top speed?

Maximum driving speed: 8 km/h (5 mph)

Your scooter is geared to do 8 km/hr and you CANNOT go faster.

First of all, many thanks to Woodygb. everything works now. i had a short circuit. I only found it through your information on the ohmic values. i'm really happy now
now I have one more question ... there are 2 files for the Rhino 90A.
i have taken the Rhino2C90A.wpr .. what is the difference to Rhino2C90A_ACT.wpr
many thanks for your help. You're awesome

Hi there,

So following on from the post here https://www.wheelchairdriver.com/board/ ... =2&t=10808, I have created the homebrew circuit, added the FT232 as noted on this board. I have installed the stock Wizard 6 (not the hacked/modified one). The USB-rs232 driver is showing pretty lights when I connect, and is setup as COM4, but the Wizard is not seeing any hardware or doing anything other than annoying me. So, I presume, it's either that I need the functioning (hacked) Wizard, and if so, can anyone send me a link for it? Or my homebrew circuit is at fault. I have checked all components for functionality, and all seems well (to my amateurish knowledge that is), but this post earlier https://www.wheelchairdriver.com/board/ ... ic#p177265, shows correct ohm values across veroboard lines, but the second and third values on my board are showing as 68.7k instead of 43.2k, and 79.11k instead of 54.2k - all the others are the same. Should I worry about this  . Pics of my actual board attached.
Any help would be incredibly appreciated.

I would suggest that you might have a board build fault ... it really depends on the exact resistor values that you used.

The difference between both sets of seemingly errant ohms values is much the same @ 25 ohms ish .

It will not matter ....for testing purposes...what Wizard you use.

I had a quick look at the colour codes and you appear to have used exactly the same as my build pics...thus I must conclude that you have a build error

Thanks Woody.

Ive checked each component multiple times, so I think I'll just knock up another veroboard tomorrow. Could be a duff component I guess. Or more likely a soldering issue...?

Hey Woodygb,

So I've built another circuit, with all new components, but amazingly it shows the same erroneous ohm readings as the first. Can only assume I have purchased some dodgy components, so I'd like to take you up on your offer - perhaps you would PM me your address and I'll send both boards, and a postage paid sae.
