Postby Foz » 03 Jul 2010, 11:00

Hi,
can anyone tell me if the Entervan has a separate battery for the door/ramp deploying sequence? :D

Nope. As far as I know. The ones I saw dont. So the best you can do is an Odyssey 1500T as I use. Its very heavy on batteries that van! So you need the best backed up by a maintainance charger if you dont use it for more than a couple of days.

yep. i had 1 on my last van and put 1 on my new beast a month or so ago........but occasionally(happened twice) if i have not used it for a day or so, the ramp will not deploy unless i get someone to start my engine for me.........its ok when some is about but if they arent i am gonna be stuck!.............must have a drain or sumfin!

That doesent make sense! The ramp takes about 20 amps. The engine starting takes hundreds. So the software must monitor the battery voltage and refuse to play if the voltage is a bit low!

Solution?
Fix software. (hard...)
Fit remote start. I have one. Push button to fire van up from in the house. I have one unit for sale. Needs an auto electrician to fit it though. Genuine dodge part. £60 to good home!

Yep. I have a boxed one on the shelf for a auto chrysler minivan. Same shape as mine. Fiddley to fit according to my autoelectrician. I bought it to fit to mine. Never got around to it. Cost me 3x that!
