You need to change the Com port to a number below 9. ( I think)
Been a while since I've done that on my PC so I'll look into it now & might be able to post step-by-step instructions shortly. (I think)

Found a step by step guide on the web.

Aaaargh! beat me to it gologen. :)

EDIT: & I just realised; I didn't need to attach anything to the header. Just enable it in the BIOS.

Hopefully Gologen will explain what your seeing.

Have you tried .... ( with the USBCAN Ver2 prog closed ) ..running the Curtis 1314 software?

Same sort of procedure ..... lead plugged in to chair ... chair turned ON...START 1314 prog .. pick COM1 ...click connect .... see what messages the prog gives you.

I' m not sure, why only one device in the system - ID 741. May be only controller connected.
I had different devices was "talking" over CAN-bus. Probably controller was testing every device in the system: joystic, switches, light bulbs, etc.

Today I tested my USB-CAN device in Windows 7(64). When i connected USB-CAN to USB port Windows found and installed usb-serial driver automaticaly. I run program 1314 PCPS with no problem.
So: 1314 PCPS + my dll + USB-CAN can work in Windows 7(64).

I want to post my dll file on this forum. May be it can help somebody.

So if you have or planning to buy this device

You can use this file to get connection 1314 PCPS to curtis controllers with CAN-bus.

Name of this file is LXN4py2s.dll. You should unzip and copy this file to program's folder (C:\Program Files\1314-4401 PC PROGRAMMING STATION\) and change original LXN4py2s.dll (NetPorty driver).
Next. You should copy file QM_USB.dll (USB-CAN driver) to same folder. You get this file from seller when you purchase USB-CAN device.

Other steps to get connection to controller you can find here:
http://www.wheelchairdriver.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1965&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=216

Before you start download please read:

1. My dll doesn't use all functions of original NetPorty. Just only functions used by 1314 PCPS. So. It is not full analog of NetPorty and cann't be used in other applications.
2.File was tested in Vista (32) and Windows 7(64) only. I guess, it should work in other Windows, but i didn't test. Who will test please post results.
3. I wrote this file for my own needs and i didn't use the protection from misuse (with other devices and without devices it can give crash of program). I got needed results and i stop work on this project.
4. And last one: You use this file AT YOUR OWN RISK

If you read and agree, please download and use it free:

If somebody will be interested in my dll for improving or for make his own dll i can send original code of my dll file (It was written in Delphi 7).
