Postby Alex » 29 Apr 2015, 14:42

Hello!,
i show you my new VW Multivan with the Space Drive II system from Paravan. I use a dual function joystick at left for gas/brake and another dual function joystick al right for steering. The secondary functions are installed on a bleeper button on the right joystick.

Looks good but can you get some video of you driving at sped, 70mph ish as it's where I heard the paravan system is weaker when compared to joysteer, do you get any drift at speed?

Drift and less stability at speed is not inherent in joystick controlled systems.

As here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcQNmYJnF_g

If the van loses directional stability at speed, add a degree of "toe out" to its tracking. Or reduce / remove any toe-in it has already, and needed lower the front say 1 inch. If it still does it, then keep increasing toe-out until it wants to track straight at speed. Because steer induced body roll add weight to the wheel that stops the roll.

In the video i posted, at 2:39 min you can see me driving at about 70-75 mph without any problem. I have driven at 82 mph a lot of times very very easy. And with the training car and four directional joystick i reached 87 mph (this car had installed Paravan Space Drive system, version I).
I haven't tried the joysteer system, but i can only say that the Space Drive is AWESOME with joysticks. I don't like with miniwheel for steering, but it is because my disability
