http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262815833353 motors...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262815766473? ... EBIDX%3AIT module...

Total 160 delivered! Crazy!!!
Are they giving these things away now?

These are from a 12.5 kph chair. Same chair so no calibration needed. And they are the good waterproof connectors and newish motors.

Need a joystick and a bus cable!!!

An as yet unknown project. Was too cheap to ignore. I am looking for the best cheap clean joystick and a long bus cable... And offers?

Because the guy says "if he can see them"... So not so sure about a cable yet.

That seller breaks lots of stuff. These often come up. He sells things for daft little scooters and brushless controllers at the same price... Those are 275 to 700 dollars in the US. I paid 60.

Motors are 150 to 170 each in us, I just paid 50...

Not even sure what version the controller is. Maybe Shirley knows!

Its DX-GB-AS upgraded.

Needs:
The DX-GB-AS has been designed specifically for use with Gearless
Brushless motors, an alternative to conventional brushed motors commonly in
use today. Supplying 100-Amps per phase, the DX-GB-AS is perfect for the
control of a wide range of powerchair configurations, including front, mid, and
rear wheel drive.

A DX-GB-AS system is only compatible with DX
Systems containing the DX-Rem24 master remote (version SC or later).

Anyone have one?

Sorry I didn't look closely at it! My spare chair which is also brushless has a different joystick which I think is a REM90 but I can't see the model number on it.
Just to confirm the items you have bought are the 2nd gen models

Seems to be many different versions of that brushless controller though. And while it says rem 24 SC or newer I think any modern dx bus joystick will work.

You're probably right but I don't know. I think when they go back for repair they may upgrade to the latest spec which is probably the version numbers you refer to.
Here's a new one

Now have complete system.

£50 mk2 brushless 500 watt 8mph motor
£50 mk2 brushless 500 watt 8mph motor
£60 power DX-BL-AS 100A 120A boost brushless power module
£175 RM550 fancy DX2 Refurb colour joystick
£25 Bus cable
£15 Delivery
Total £375 in under a week for complete setup with everything needed and already have a service/oem programmer. (Service is technically not available, and better than OEM level and allows you to change all the battery meter parameters and other tech things for lithium etc, and other clever stuff you don't want to mess with very much!)

Now just need a chair to fit it all to... I have a plan!

Not sure yet. But I am pleased to get the brushless thing sorted. I hate wasting almost half the battery power on stupidly inefficient brushed motors.

While you can still get daft range with brushed 4 pole motors and lithium its still so wasteful.
Typically a swap, from GRP 24, to 120Ah of lithium gives 3x better range.
So a real world 45 miles in an 8mph chair or 56 miles in a 6 mph chair.

But a brushless chair like my invacare new one, (or the chair that my new motors came from), can do 38 miles from GRP 24 lead with 8mph motors.
Instead of 24.8 miles max claimed (with the slower 4mph) brushed motors.

Thats a gain of 55%!!! With only a change of motors on the same storm 4. At a higher speed.

So if a 4 pole 8 mph chair normally gets a real world 55 miles, a brushless one will get 55% extra, or 85 real world usable miles! You may think thats a bit extreme!
Another way to look at it is this. It gets 38 ISO tennis court miles. And lithium can give 3x this or 113 ISO standard tennis court miles... :o
