Google

Q-Logic_Technical_Manual_Complete_Rev B.p65

p28 onwards ..programming parameters.

Reminder: The reminder parameter is typically seen only if a hand control or enhanced display are in the system.
–Display Time: The display time parameter sets the amount of time a designated reminder will usually be displayed.
# The settings for this parameter range from 1 to 30 seconds.
–Repetition Rate: The repetition rate parameter sets the amount of time an active reminder will continue to be
displayed until cleared by the user.
# The settings for this parameter range from 1 to 60 minutes.
–Acoustical Feedback: The acoustical feedback parameter assigns an audible tone to a reminder being displayed to
inform the user a reminder is active

My guess is that the reminder function is for stuff that the user needs to be reminded to do on a regular basis, such as pressure relief... I know that I have seen this mentioned as a "feature" in some of the literature... I get uncomfortable if I don't shift around regularly, but I'm ASIA-B, so I have feeling in my butt... A person that is ASIA-A (complete) presumably wouldn't get the discomfort reminder, and not move enough if they lose track of time... Thus I would say that the reminder wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, especially for the newly injured who haven't gotten used to it yet.

The link was from buggiesgonewild ... it has lasted nearly 3 weeks ...but they do die when the software owner gets wind.

That is the file uploaded from my machine. Look at the Forward speed max setting and you will see why i've been so frustrated with this thing.

I have NO IDEA why my lead works in England but not in the US and yours works in both. :D Something about that lead my chair didn't like. I think we should make voltage level measurements on both leads later when we have free time.

For now i'm gonna reprogram this pile of scrap metal, so that i can at least have some hope when i'm trying to get away from the mormon missionaries preaching to me as i slowly crawl down the street.

I'll be running the wheels off of this thing shortly.

Use the settings on here (my settings) if you have the OEM programmer software. And then tell us how it steers. Because you will be surprised that it works like your PC mouse. It will go where you want it. Provided you have the finger control!

This stuff must amaze all those on other forums where they are told that OEM settings and programmers doesent exist and that its all in our imagination!

.... It's really a shame that "we" have to resort to this ...I'd much rather be able to buy the software etc at a fair price.... but if it doesn't exist then no harm done!

I made some quick changes with just the dealer software, I'm twice as fast as i was!!!!

I'm going to go through BM's page and change things with a oem copy. I'm going to wait until tomorrow as i was up all night with a sick 3yr old. I need some sleep

I was headed that way when woody's lead arrived and i had to plug it in first. I got so excited when it worked i had to stay awake for a while and make at least some changes.

Thank you Woody i will pm you later. I want to get right with you on the lead, the postage, and the time you have spent helping me.

For now i'm going sleep content knowing i can get around much better now.

thanks

Yes. I have USB-CAN converter of this company. Dll is same for models A1 and A2.
I bought it at ebay for $45.
I'm not sure 100% about B1 model. But it's more expensive.

Can somebody find price for CAN adapters I+Me Actia company. I did not.
Just connect and work.

So ...the solution is ...one of those Netporty adaptors ... and if needed a USB / RS232 interface cable ?

Plug and play?

http://www.ime-actia.com/download/netporty2_man.pdf

It will need an external power supply and an adaptor from Netporty's 25 pin RS232 to Computer ..unless your puter has a RS232 / 25 pin port.

The interface itself is fine ...BUT ...ain't there always one of those.... Gologen has indicated that the Curtis OEM wants to communicate in a specific language... Netporty by I+Me Actia.

So you'd need to translate from the Ebay canbus language to that of the Curtis OEM Program ...
Gologen wrote his own DLL ( Translator ) for the USB-CAN he bought.

So Gologen is suggesting buying the NetPorty 2 as this should communicate without the need for writing a bespoke translation prog / DLL.

Twinpanther has a later lead and the same comms translation problem ...the OEM software from 2006 will not talk to his lead.

I suspect the software has been updated and the OEM found on the web hasn't and won't update to the later versions.
